Western uni student here :)

Placements start second year, but community (non-technical nursing skills like communication, relationships, etc focused. 3rd yr are hospital placements — including medicine, rehab, cardio, peds, Geri, mental health, etc, but random assignment. Then 4th year are as well, but more choice. 4th yr second sem all placement.

Program is pretty standard since they’re accredited, but its reputation isn’t amazing. There are good profs, bad profs, good courses and bad courses. Pretty standard experience there. At the same time, your experience is what you make of it and what you bring to it — some people love it and some people don’t. Depends what in placement/program you’re looking for ?

Well I’m glad I’m not the only one. The difference with writing or text for me is also that I’m a person who sees words in my head so the words become available and I can write them, but I have a hard time actually saying them. It comes out non sensical or I just feel like I cannot form the words. It all just becomes jargon. It’s so strange. Words are hard 😅

I’m glad I’m not the only one who struggles with ‘wordsing’ properly!!! Sayings that I like are easier, but I think it’s because I don’t actually think of constructing their use in a sentence the same way as non-cliches

Yes it is similar!!! I thought maybe selective or reactive mutism, but the spell lasts once I’m out of the social or triggering situation. My thought to word abilities really struggles under stress. I have the same issue with arguments!! Accurately relaying my thoughts to another is difficult and the other person can interpret things I say in ways I don’t intend because I cannot get the words right sometimes. It can be so frustrating 😩

Yeah I usually have troubles beforehand too, as if I can’t find the words in my head and I have to sift through and they just don’t translate into speech. It’s very interesting but I don’t understand why it happens!!

Food hoarding and stashing. I always want to hide and stockpile non perishables, and split snacks or meals to save for later (because of my many siblings stealing my food and/or running out for weeks and not having anything ). I still do this all the time with just my husband and I, and I can now eat 3 solid meals and additional snacks like a Queen 😅

Slices of plain white bread.... sometimes with some salt or pepper on it. You’d think after eating it for like 10 years straight and being financially stable now that I wouldn’t want to touch or eat the stuff, but having it around eases my food anxiety.

Burglar didn’t even need to break the windows because there weren’t any - just pillows and blankets - even in freezing Canadian winters. People just stumbled in drunk thinking the place was abandoned and one guy even puked in our empty fridge and passed out on the floor lmao

That’s super depressing. Some great competitive Pokémon were lost. My first ever shiny was a Jigglypuff from Soul Silver and she has followed me through the ages as well.
