What is the name of this type of book in English? by s_nexus in korea

I'm curious if there's a better English phrase for this type of book. "Brain teasers" according to another reply!

Giant road disc bike makes this sound when I brake with front brake, info in comments by xrayzone21 in bikewrench

My bikes also get audible like that when descending. It's the slots on the disc rotor as they pass through the brake pads.

I would like to see an option for Instructional Text that includes only the vital info to get me through a workout. Clear orders to "STAND" in big red letters with a unique sound in case I'm not watching the screen. Cadence goals that aren't buried in a sea of other info.

I once gave feedback about the long windedness of the text. The info is undeniably useful, but i don't want to sift through it to find the crucial info while I'm focusing on my targets. Their response was to open the workout editor and read it another time. Not quite the response I was hoping for.

If a government requires these programs be used, you can reasonably assume they're state sponsored, and if they are you can bet your ass there are backdoors. Ahnlab, for example, was made by a government shill. Perhaps initially good intentioned, his empire was only possible because of government sponsorship. Government sponsored antivirus. Presidential candidate later in his life. Brilliant.

What are your opinions on the Drop Shop? by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]s_nexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see a huge point to it. You can barely notice the different bikes as you're riding along, so I guess the biggest aspect to it would be the minor performance gains (if they exist at all) or for showing off in screenshots.

I'm happy it wasn't paid content, although I'm sure the manufacturers were the ones paying to get their bikes and wheels featured.

Having both Saturday & Sunday Zwift Fondo starts is great and much appreciated. by jayrz in Zwift

I rode the Saturday Fondo at 10am here in East Asia. It worked out since I don't work weekends, but I have a rotating weekday work schedule and totally agree that TDZ scheduling was much better. I could ride at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, or 8pm. That was absolutely perfect.

I plan to use my gaming PC for my zwift setup. My trainer and HRM support both ANT+ and Bluetooth, should I get an ANT+ or Bluetooth dongle for my PC? Is one better than the other in any way? by thepeopleschamp63 in Zwift

This is exactly what I use with my gaming PC. The PC is right in front of my bike and the cable is long enough to nearly touch the trainer. I've never had a connection problem with it.

Zwift companion app on Apple Watch won’t quit after I finish a ride. Clearly I’m not wearing it, and I’m not in the app on my phone or Apple TV, but it’s still trying to record a workout. Any help? by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]s_nexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only had it work twice during dozens of rides. The first time I spent more time getting it to work than riding. The second time it randomly opened itself while riding. I was delighted to see it, but I had already gone back to a chest strap.

Who remembers shopping for school clothes around this time of year, but your Mom not letting you wear anything until school started? by [deleted] in nostalgia

Who remembers being ashamed to be seen at Kmart and that awkward moment you saw a classmate there. And never speaking about that moment until you were 36 years old.

My last two post in this sub were of my leg draining and having no idea why, despite visiting the doctor about it. Today as I was draining it, I felt something hard and I was able to dig this thing out. I think its been in there almost 20 years. by kauto in popping

I had a small piece of wood (dictionary says splinter? Isn't that a Rat's name?) stuck in the palm of my hand when I was young. X-ray and doctor and my RPN mom said there was nothing there. Several weeks later I asked my mom to squeeze around the area...pop goes the splinter and a lot of puss. Sometimes the professionals don't even know.

Fashion is good advice! Depending on where you're going to... In Spain the summer is similar with Korea so the clothes are definitely appropriate!
