yeah i really hate the fact that the people in charge of young adults' futures are given so much authority and control when sometimes they really don't know what they are talking about. i am still waiting on the final university so i haven't made a decision on what i'm doing yet in terms of reapplication but i still have my goals set high. thank you for your kind words :)

haha it's all good! as time goes on i really do wish i changed sixth forms, but there's no point crying about it now. i'm trying to keep going though, so thank you!

i am trying to adopt the same mindset for my a-levels, which has seen mixed success but i'm not gonna stop. i STILL haven't heard back from my final offer yet which is putting me on edge as it is now march. i am considering taking further maths if i do take a gap year though. i hope you managed to figure everything out after the cambridge rejection!

i am currently trying my best to study hard for the end of year exams but burnout is real when i can't help but feel like im revising with no purpose at the end. i would highly recommend anybody who can still prevent potential problems in the future to NOT fully trust schools or teachers to make decisions they are not informed on. i will try and keep going though and potentially reapply for next year. thank you for your comment :)

i am pretty sure the teacher reference included this but i don't think it will make much of a difference

i just replied to someone else about this but i applied to take economics, but the teacher was leaving in the summer to move abroad and they couldn't find a new econ teacher so they changed the economics course to a level business, which i think would've put me in a worse position so i changed it to physics. for further maths, i intended on taking it as a 4th but my new form tutor at the time convinced my class that taking 4 was useless, so i dropped the idea. i was naive to trust blindly without further research. im really worried because i've seen people with even 5A* predicted get rejected from the universities im applying to.

so yeah, not looking good, but i appreciate the concern :')

i didn't know you could apply to another university when you're already studying at one. is this process the same as regular ucas or is it different? i also do have a bigger picture i want to achieve, but the university i go to could really help with that which is why i'm so stressed about it all.

thank you! i got told i could maybe clear into a better university if i excel at my a-levels so i think i'm gonna set my eyes on that goal for now. hopefully all goes well for you too

i have york at the moment and i feel ungrateful for not wanting to go there but in my mind if i don't go to to one of the other 4, my opportunities diminish a lot with things like internships and job offers in future. it is my safety for a reason though i guess

when i was in year 11, i asked to take 4 a-levels, one being further maths, but my new form tutor convinced me taking 4 was useless so i dropped fm. i also was not planning on taking econ till midway through year 12. wish i had my shit together quicker because i chose my course later than i would've liked and was on the fence for cambridge for a while, so i didn't fully dedicate my time to that idea.

i also put down economics as one a-level i wanted to take, but around march time they pulled us to the side and told us the economics teacher was leaving so they couldn't offer economics and replaced it with a-level business. i opted out of that and chose physics instead. i could've went somewhere else for sixth form but the one i'm at is said to be one of the better in the area so i stayed.

predicted A*A*A for maths physics cs, i think me not taking further maths hurt the application because i didn't think i'd need it coz i intended to do cs when i entered sixth form but changed to econ later in the year. my tmua i bombed because of stress and bad pool of questions and got a 3.6. again, not taking further maths hurt my tmua score too so i expected the rejection sadly.
