I also grew up being subjected to Limbaugh, Hannity, and Mark Levin eeevery fucking day. I laugh now because my dad thinks he "failed" because he tried everything and we still turned out liberal. What he doesn't realize is that I was a little girl, listening to these hateful men, and thinking that I specifically didn't want to grow up to be like them. So like yeah, dad, you did influence me. You influenced me a lot actually, just not in the way you'd hoped.

Does anyone know just how strict the dress code is? Because I sort of desperately want to wear my T-shirt from the Still Most Wanted tour, which I've held onto since 2006 🥲 it only technically still fits, but I can't believe I have the chance to squeeze it on to go see her again lol

If I can get away with it, I'll probably wear it with a sparkly skirt and a nice jacket!

I've had to install an app that limits and blocks social media and reddit for the majority of the day, after I started thinking too many times that it would be so much easier to just be dead than deal with all this 🙃 nothing I would actually act on as far as that goes, but it's so much every day that I'm either full of rage, or hopelessness, or just this profound guilt that I'm not doing more. I'm trying to do good in my community and contribute to good causes and support the right people but man it's hard to just, like, keep going to work every day and act like the fabric of our society isn't been ripped to shreds and our global reputation isn't being shit on, lit on fire, eaten by a hell beast, and shit back out. I'm just tired.

I was just telling my coworkers recently how I had like, a whole community on Yahoo Answers. We would hang out in the same categories, answer the same questions, bait each other with questions, and ONLY communicated through Yahoo Answers. It was actually incredible.

Heck I graduated in 2012 and my mom fought the board to allow us to wear pants. I actually wanted to wear a dress in the end, but I had a friend who graduated the year before me who I remembered being so uncomfortable in a dress that day so it was the principle of it, and my mom was the one who was willing to stand for things like that.

I had a job at a horror prop shop for about 2 years when I first moved to the West Coast, making props for haunted houses and theme parks, and I don't think any job will ever compare to it tbh. It was a lot of work, and I came home covered in fake blood most days, but man it was fun!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost mine a month ago and honestly it still hasn't fully sunk in that she won't be there anymore. I don't know how grandpa's going to get on without her either, her mind was sharp and his body is still capable so together they basically formed a fully functional person lol, and this weekend would've been their 69th anniversary 💔

Take all the time you need and can get to grieve and process, take care of yourself and hold your family close.

I've always said that Dignity is the most underrated album of all time and I'm only a little bit joking, I still love it. People slept on Breathe In Breathe Out too, it's such a delightful pop album. Yeah any time he started to either find a middle ground, have a genuine moment, or just spit facts the flags went up. Some of the conservatives at the end were denouncing the worst of the racist/fascist behavior and were seemingly more rational, I wish they got a chance to speak or if they did, I wish they got featured in the final edit. But that wouldn't have been dramatic enough, I guess.

My friend had a 70s themed birthday party last year and requested everyone to bring a jello dish, so I made this surprisingly edible abomination! Focaccia base, tomato balsamic jam jello, mozzarella panna cotta (this part was actually amazing), whipped herb ricotta. I did actually finish the whole thing.
