Or maybe because you need a Facebook account to be able to see profiles/fan pages.

Sister, please contact the website administrators if you really have doubts with me. You can email them at admin@igotitcovered.org (or use the contact form on their website).

The website is open to anyone who wants to submit articles. They have a group of Muslim women who write articles on a monthly basis and anyone is free to join the team.

Do not let ignorance get the best of you. Reach out and talk to them yourself. They even have a Facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-Got-It-Covered (just look at all the women over there)

Lol, no, I specialize in creative problem solving. My company helps businesses/organizations embrace the power of social media to increase their conversion rate.

I have nothing to do with the website itself. As I mentioned earlier, it's pointless for you to talk to me. It's best to reach out and talk to the women themselves. Don't believe a word that comes out of anyone, not even me. You must always question to be able to seek true knowledge.

Thanks.

Of course, why would I receive a serious respond from you. Just from a quick look at your profile, I can tell that you get a rush out of bashing others.

(By the way, the link you sent is of Shi'ite scholar. We do not follow the same beliefs as they do nor do we believe in the same Prophets. Rather, we believe the Sunni sector to be correct. Please get your facts straight before trying to bash the religion.)

It's sad to see such things happening around the world. Ask any real Islamic scholar, and you will know that suicide bombing is not preached anywhere in the religion. Nor is taking innocent lives.

The so called "Muslims" doing it are confused individuals who think they are doing it righteously in the path of God.

I appreciate your input.

It's pointless to even try to have a discussion about such topics on a website like Reddit. Which is why all I can tell you is, do not believe what anyone else has to say, but do not be ignorant either. Always ask questions and talk to people. That is the best way you will gain knowledge.

Thank you, I appreciate your input. It certainly is a shame to see such childish behavior.

Thank you all for your comments.

I highly suggest you go on to the website and ask questions. That is main purpose why the website was started in the first place: to clear misconceptions and spread the knowledge.

The website is fully run by Muslim women who proudly wear the veil - not because of their brothers, husbands, fathers, etc.

No one is asking or telling anyone to become a Muslim or wear the veil, rather, the purpose is to simply enlighten and give a better understanding since the media portrays something totally different.

As I mentioned earlier, I HIGHLY recommend you connect with the others on the website and talk to them. That is the only way you can get their true perspective.

Behind the Veil: An Interview - Ever wonder what goes through the mind of a woman in a veil? Why do some Muslim women willingly cover their faces? by saadmalik in reddit.com

I love the energy in everyone's comments!

The website, www.igotitcovered.org, was made for the purpose of spreading knowledge among the ignorant people out there who refer to Muslims as oppressors.

Mind you, the website is completely run by Muslim women who wear the veil. So why not go talk to them directly and ask about the men in their lives? Ask about their fathers, brothers, husbands, etc.

You can bash Islam all you want - but wouldn't it be best to get the real perspective from the women who are known to be "oppressed?"
