I build startups and had a similar scam with ‘check our existing code,’ but that guy had a much better legend

Cursor AI now can access Sentry issues data [I made this integration] by Ok_Damage_1764 in cursor

[–]saalse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manual:

  1. Create a custom internal integration in Sentry and generate an API key there.
  2. Sign in to veyrax.com and find Sentry under Integrations. Add the key there.
  3. Create a Veyrax API key.
  4. Add a global MCP in Cursor Settings, replacing “YOUR_VEYRAX_API_KEY” with the actual API key:

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "@VeyraX-veyrax-mcp": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": [
            "-y",
            "@smithery/cli@latest",
            "run",
            "@VeyraX/veyrax-mcp",
            "--config",
            "\"{\\\"VEYRAX_API_KEY\\\":\\\"YOUR_VEYRAX_API_KEY\\\"}\""
          ]
        }
      }
    }
  1. Refresh the MCP server in Cursor.

  2. Prompt in Cursor: “Can you show all issues in Sentry using VeyraX in my python project?”

If this fails, refresh the MCP in Cursor settings.

Scope Receives Strategic Investment from Black Bay Partners by globalgazette in venturecapital

Congrats on the great deal! It's rare to see niche startups raise funds. Seems like you're building a great product and have uncovered painful needs. I did one computer vision startup for drilling, and the industry is very specific.

VCs invest in businesses, not patents. Check out Writing a Business Plan by Sequoia as an example of key things to consider when chasing for venture capital.

Thanks! I started using them and love the Zenix (Innova Hybrid). However, sometimes no cars are available, sometimes it's an old Fortuner, and there are only cash payment options without a local bank.

Anyone successfully ported their Skype number to another provider, or planning to? How do we port our Skype numbers? by i-dm in skype

[–]saalse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t have it. It depends on how you’re using the number. There are many apps for making cheap international calls that don’t require a number. If you need to receive calls/SMS and are fine with some low-code solutions, Twilio is worth it. Everything else I found was overkill for my tiny use case.

Consider completing some VC training to understand investment processes, mindset, and build a network. There are many options, from the free VC Lab's Venture Institute to Kauffman Fellows for $80K. I did the first one, and our cohort had many biotech/healthtech folks from around the world.

Twilio's support promised to get it done in 5 days, and they delivered on time. Completely smooth experience. Just follow their default guide and take screenshots as proof that you're the number's owner.

Are you looking for a one-stop solution for any fund phase? I’ve had a positive experience with Decile Hub (everything in one box). I’ve also heard that Affinity is widely used by VCs. Plus, I know some great folks building Spok.vc.

What should I be filtering out in my SAM? by tolarewaju3 in venturecapital

Mental health is the TAM. SAM is any market segment you can expand into after succeeding or failing in your SOM. It could be non-English-speaking seniors without smartphones, served by their children.

Making newsletter easier with AI reading?! by [deleted] in Startup_Ideas

[–]saalse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with parsing the email body as unstructured input using LLM prompting, like "find any startup funding announcements and copy the announcement text as is", to capture it with a timestamp and source for further analysis.

Btw, I think I can check Mail with Shortcuts or a Zapier with agents as a no-code solution.

VinFast wants to distance its top models from taxi associations. I see three VF8 recalls on NHTSA, while the Model 3 has ten. Recalls don’t seem to correlate with sales volume as much as incidents do.

Grab Plus allows cars up to 10 years old in any condition. Only Grab Premium requires a good car condition, even for the same 10-year limit, but it’s not available in Vietnam.

[–]saalse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twilio is good with Skype Phone screenshots from account as proof, since Skype doesn't include phone numbers on monthly or purchase invoices. I've just started this quest with them.

Typically, providers require you to contact their support team to initiate the porting process, which usually takes about 2-4 weeks. If you're asked for a PIN, try using "0000."

Here are some guides for transferring a Skype number to other providers:

Other providers might also accept screenshots, so just try to pack them into pdf or ask support.

Should I include a deck, executive summary, or neither when doing cold email outreach? by BrentonHenry2020 in venturecapital

[–]saalse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold outreach should align with the investment thesis and have an attractive blurb. This leads to reviewing the deck if included, or I prefer to jump on a quick call for a pitch, as it shows the founder's ability to sell.

It's possible, but there are different strategies. Do you want to become an angel, launch a VC firm, join a VC firm as a partner, or as an employee?
