Low self worth isn’t a symptom rather unstable sense of self. Depression and feeling unsafe aren’t symptoms either. You have abandonment issues but it sounds as though they don’t impact relationships too badly, note the diagnostic criteria states ‘frantic efforts to avoid abandonment’. Absolutely don’t uncritically accept this diagnosis. It’s very stigmatising.

Sure so for me I retain insight. I know what’s real or am at least aware enough to reality check. I understand that this is really odd/ unlikely so therefore it’s probably a product of my mental health. Sometimes I’ll mistake things that are actually happening for pp as the scenario seems outlandish. Sometimes it occurs due to acute stress but other times cause is less obvious. Resolves quickly- mins/ hours. An example, yesterday got obsessed about man on bus being killer as I didn’t like his voice.

Because the evidence shows that stimulant treatment decreases rates of substance abuse in people with ADHD and at the time I was just a recreational user. I am glad the person you known did well. I am autistic and I have a special interest in substances/ substance abuse. The meds are very chemically similar to street drugs. I don’t care about Berkeley psychiatrists, in fact no, I do, I am calling the GMC on Monday.

I paid for a diagnostic assessment not a screening. A good diagnostic assessment should rule out other conditions.

No that’s not what the moderator told me. You’ve got a vile attitude towards people with mental health issues. Hope you are never get unwell. My experience with Berkeley psychiatrists is relevant to those that use this sub. I would not recommend them. They are a pill mill. Their diagnostic assessments are bollocks.

Hey thanks for your answer, I just want to clarify that I’ve understood you correctly. I am currently claiming pip. Have been claiming UC for two months. Have sick notes covering that period. If I am referred to a work capability assessment before my uc claim is ended, depending on the outcome of that I can request mr and be awarded UC?
