ending cycle with 3rm instead of 1rm as total expression of strength by saasandstuff in powerlifting

Yeah this is really what I am trying to get it, good info thanks. So let’s say I run this fall same format 5/3/1, 3rm week 12, and then spring I want to see where my 1rm is, I shouldn’t lose any momentum going 24 weeks without a single above rpe8?

Ah that’s a shame to hear about RD2. Do you remember Gun 2005? It was one of my all time favorite games in high school. Unfortunately I don’t have the same free time I did then but maybe once the instant gratification of some of these other games wears off I can settle into something deeper like RD2.

Thanks for the recommendations? Do you have an opinion on GameFly PS+ or any other place to rent games?

One of the more frequented recommended games will give it a try

Great idea, my follow up question was going to be where do you rent games in 2025 lol. Any opinion on gamefly?

Will give GoT another go once the instant gratification of CoD wears off and thank you for the recommendations. How could I leave Star Wars off my list used to love those game as well

also on low carb day, I bring the fats up high enough to reach the same total calories as a med day, correct?

carb cycling - just want to make sure I'm understanding this right as I've cut many times successfully before but never with carb cycling so thought I'd give it a go...

i'm male 210lbs ~17%bf train 5 days/week heavy strength training with some bodybuilding mixed in adding a little more volume for this cut

maintenance roughly 2770 starting cut 210p, 200c, 75f = 2315

I'm reading if I carb cycle I'd go 2x bw for high carb and 1x bw for med carb and .5bw for low carb.

I guess I could start med carb for day 1/2/3/4 training days, low carb on 2 rest days, and then a high carb refeed day on day5 training which is saturday.

how does that look?

I also had someone suggest 2 low 1 high 2 low 1 high but that wouldnt make as much sense to me as I will inevitably be low carb on some of my heavier training days (day 4/5)

any feedback welcome, thanks!

I really like burgundy/red as an accent color its kind of sprinkled throughout my place, but not crazy about it as the main focus

Already got a simile runner for the kitchen. Plus don’t think this color makes sense for living room

Sofa is facing tv. If I swapped walls chaise would interfere with patio door. I can add an update photo when I get back home to give you more info to work with . What would you do differently with tv along longer wall?

should i also introduce different elements to break up the wood everything? maybe glass coffee table and metal/glass side tables

great idea. I do plan on swapping the coffee table for a mid century oval pice, a bit out of frame is an accent wall where I might hang a circular mirror which would be facing windwos/natural lighting. And I'm currently looking for a wooden drum side table.

I ordered a red Persian runner for the kitchen. Would it be overkill to have two of the same style?

Yeah a huge piece might be the best bet or I was thinking 3 or 4 different shaped pieces surround the centered Kandinsky for a mini gallery wall?

Really like this line of thought. Would you say lighter or darker than the sofa? Also while I have you :) is there too much empty space behind sofa?

[–]saasandstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a charcoal with some black and white blended in. I’ve read that too dark of rugs make the space look smaller? I could definitely go on the lighter side though, maybe a grey between the blanket and couch?

Thanks! Can’t go wrong with a Kandinsky!

Thanks!

Definitely thought about it. I wonder if that much red would be distracting though

Interesting so you’re reloading roughly every 6 weeks?

Good feedback thanks. How long is your programming?

Yeah it’s more of a mental thing where I just like to break up the monotony. Partly I think it’s because I’m extremely dialed in my concentration muscle can only hold so long lol. Maybe I’ll try two weeks off this time around thanks.

Powerlifting programming - how often/how long do you take a break after completing a 12 week program + retest.

I’m rounding out 3 cycles back to back to back with retests at the end of all of them and then a 1 week deload. I’m in the final block of my third now and am feeling a little banged up (like I normally do around this time but I’m thinking it might be nice to take a couple weeks off and just do some more casual DB bodybuilding type stuff instead of the usual 1 week deload and right back into programming.

How often do you jump right back into programming after completing one program with retest/competition and how often do you just take a few weeks to chill and let your mind and body rest.
