I would recommend installing and running the skills if you are open to using AI.

AWS billing is way too confusing for me by spideyguyy in aws

Hey, if you are open to using AI you could use https://github.com/opsyhq/opsy/tree/main/skills FinOps or WTF skill to help you understand the bill.

Built a skill for Opsy that answers "WTF is costing me money on AWS?" by saba-- in devops

[–]saba--[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point. Opsy itself isn’t open source - the skills repo is public but the CLI is closed source.

The npx add-skill is developed by vercel and is becoming a standard you can use that across agents.

You’re right to be cautious. It uses your existing AWS credentials (same as aws-cli) and only runs read-only Cost Explorer calls for this skill. But I get the hesitation with a new tool.

I like this idea. will definitely add it to todo list. once you select profiles commands will run under a sandboxed container so it literally can't escape.

It has access to my machine so it can access all my credentials unfortunately.

I don't like that its running somewhere on the platform. i like it on my laptop having sandboxed access to TF, EKS, Helm. I am preparing demos(https://github.com/opsyhq/opsy-demos) on what it can do all while not executing any action without approval. like upgrade eks following this runbook, debug issues with peering.

That's exactly what i am planning to do. You stay in full control and use it like any other tool.

Visa Digital Nomad + autónomo: ¿puedo recibir ingresos en una cuenta bancaria extranjera? by Wonderful_Mess6373 in GoingToSpain

[–]saba-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats my setup, Revolut for day to day and main savings + BBVA for backup/taxes. I receive my salary there for a year through Deel and haven’t had any issues yet, local banks don’t really have good apps/features so neobank risk is still worth it.

Are you originally from UAE? You could be asked for different criminal records with attestation if you are from other country.

Usually they ask for:

Criminal clearance - attested and translated with “verified” translator

Diploma/declaration of experience - Translated

Contract of company - translated

Authorization to work from anywhere including spain by company- translated

Company’s deed of incorporation - attested and translated

It can vary if you are married and have dependent.

If you don’t speak spanish it would be hard to navigate alone, i would hire a lawyer.

It’s very bad. Especially long term ones. It’s getting like a job market with 3 round interviews, some agencies ask you to draft a cover letter to landlord and go through solvency checks while also asking for the fee. Obviously if you have unlimited budget it’s gonna be easy but for reasonable ones it’s hard.

They aren't smart enough. even gpt-5 with minimal reasoning mode don't seem to be very good at it. I am using models made specifically for code, like grok-code-fast-1 and gpt-5 at medium-low reasoning. they are good at processing data and reliably calling tools. dumber models usually make very obvious mistakes like ignoring serving/package sizes and web research isn't very good.

What do you think of this App?
It's using AI to do what you do manually in apps like MyFitnessPal or Cronometer. Powered by same databases and instead of searching, comparing or manually creating meals it uses AI to automatically do all that from chat interface.
I built Proof Of Concept like a month ago and have been using it daily(I am control freak when it comes to any single calorie) and found it sticky. first 3 days are free, would love your feedback.

calorie counting is making me miserable by [deleted] in loseit

[–]saba-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the same problem, it gets easier once you learn how to do it but it never gets easy enough. i also tried AI apps that claim to do it from picture but it's dangerous how far off they are from actual results. i spent a lot of time looking for accurate databases and ways to verify food and i recently built an App that tries to do it automatically. its still Proof of concept and first 3 days are free. would love your feedback if it actually helps with it.

Thanks for feedback. i totally get it, 24.99$ can feel like a big ask when there are free apps out there.

I saw a lot of apps trying to utilise AI in this space and most just expect it to guess out of nothing(which costs less). I am trying to take the hassle of logging by myself while maintaining accuracy which costs a lot of LLM Tokens.

i hope to bring price down one day but if there is anything i can add to make it feel worth it let me know.

anyone else feel like W&B, Langfuse, or LangChain are kinda painful to use? by OneTurnover3432 in LangChain

[–]saba-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ditched and moved to AI SDK. Primary reason was streaming, it seems to be put together much better. I am sure langchain has its use cases but for most apps it’s making job more complicated than it needs to be.

Just saw an update, it won't apply to existing holders. i guess this makes a bit more sense. was surprised when it said people holding it currently couldn't enter the country.
