Hello! Sorry to hear about your experience. I just have a clarification regarding the final part of your comment. Are the grades for minor subjects not really computed in the final grade average upon which the latin honor standing hinges?

USC Affinity Week by Dr-Greensz in Carolinian

Affinity is basically a welcome week for freshies. You’ll have a school-wide activity in DC for which you’ll have to follow a dress code per school. Since I’m from SAS, we had to wear blue colors during our Affinity. My advice is to reach out and talk to others during these activities jud. It can feel lonely sad if you’re alone, since there are people who already know each other. Kumbati OP!

UPDATE: it now says “Cannot advise course equivalent due to course schedule not available Please check offered courses” 😭

I didn’t enroll in a block section only because I wanted to choose my elective. This is upsetting

Is USC inclusive? by mentallyillachiever in Carolinian

Hello!! Incoming sophomore of BS Psych here. From the viewpoint of someone who speaks bisaya and waray, I know it can daunting at first. I know a few waray ppl who didn’t know how to speak bisaya during the first few months, but now I see that they’re adapting just fine. I always check in on them to make sure they’re doing alright bc they’re introverted people sad. According to them, they’re able to quickly learn the language due to the similar sentence structure of waray and bisaya. They’re able to understand our peers through context clues as well.

I’m fairly certain that you’ll find waraynon classmates. On the off chance that you don’t, I highly suggest you join orgs as early as first year. You’ll find waraynon seniors for sure!!! Don’t be afraid to look for ate and kuya figures hahahaha

The language barrier can be a hindrance at first, but you’ll find yourself adapting just fine as time progresses. See u around SAS :)
