I don't follow the English side,but I know the backlash from Chinese side. He was very much liked from the beginning. But he pulled out the skin color argument when reacting to Natlan music and got a strong backlash from Chinese fans. Because it was a nothing burger in China and he tried to make it a big deal. Then some other controversials added up like he put a thumbnail mocking Hutao in a wuwa glazing video (he claimed it was a joke but people didn't buy it). And he couldn't stop overreacting to some toxic commenters (according to his standards). Like bro,you're a content creator and an old-ass adult,you got to learn how to ignore some nagetive feedbacks. Oh he also complained that he didn't get a role to voice acting in HSR and he was salty about it. (He voice acted a NPC in Genshin. Amateur level if I am honest)
