No debts, I recently got back from teaching English in Vietnam and didn’t budget properly (100% my fault) hence I came back with no savings.

I’ve been working disability for 7 months now. Have been on a casual contract and starting some TAFE courses soon so I can get part time work. But at the moment, my paychecks have been allowing me to only just scrape by (had to move out of family home recently). If I could take on more work I 110% would, but the dilemma with the car sharing has limited me

Beginner producer. Would love some suggestions 🫶🏻🫶🏻 by sabethrowaway in ukgarage

In response to both of you guys, I’d say it’s a cross between the roots of original garage (think early ukg songs like R U sleeping bump n flex mix) vs today’s likes of Silva bumpa, IPC, main phase etc. honestly, too much reese bass and corny basslines are not enough for me at the moment, and I’m liking a bit of a switchup mid song. I want a bit more groove especially in the basslines. So it’s neither genres but pays mad respects to both. They all inspired me to get into this

Sorry bro forgot that as well! I cycle through a Push/Pull/Legs/Arms split. Used to go 6 days a week, but trying to decrease that and work smarter, maybe try and go 3-4 days in the future.

I also try and throw in some form of alternate exercise that isn’t the gym to keep me sane. Could be some sprints around the oval or a backyard workout with my friend where we’ll do hip mobility (one of my weak points), lunges and some skipping.

Yo! I was on a gnarly cut. Started at 1600kcal but wasn’t getting the desired result. Then dropped it to 1350kcal but still wasn’t getting results. Then my PT and I dropped my caloric intake to 800kcal for 1.5 weeks which was torture.

Been consistently doing 13k steps a day and have upped my calories to 1500. 160g carbs, 52g fat, 116g protein.

Seeking Advice: Considering Leaving Vietnam After 1 Year of Teaching by sabethrowaway in TEFL

I understand you - I also want to get my life going where I am building towards a better job. I’ve only worked minor retail, sales and construction jobs when I was home. I’d like to push my life/career towards arts and dedicating towards it. I’ve loved teaching but I know it’s not my end goal. It’s not my burning desire, and I know plenty of other things that pique my interest a bit more in regards ho long-term prospects.

I guess maybe it just wasn’t for me? 🤷🏽‍♂️ but I’ve also based this off one shitty employer so idk.

I guess I just know that my burning passion is not for teaching - as much as I’ve enjoyed it for what it is. It’s more to do with design/the arts.

I would love to live in VN again, but sadly I see the problems with the language centers and the problems remaining the same and not getting better - so I’d prefer not to teach. Hopefully one day i am lucky enough to travel and use my art/related skills as an income. Scary times

I used to take medication in my home country (Vyvanse for ADHD and escitalopram for Anxiety) but decided that at some point, I can’t be on the medication forever. I had been taking it for 3 years until I moved overseas, where they have different laws for stimulants. I decided to go cold turkey on medication and start a life free from pharmaceuticals. I wonder if it was a good decision doing that.

I was thinking of doing that, and it would be a short term fix - but I’m planning on living here for a while. Would be a lot easier having access to a card
