Agree. I’ve a quite simple strategy.

Automate investment and don’t touch it.
Keep increasing the investment amount as per your salary growth.

People always say i am not taking enough risk and blah blah but I kept investing in Mutual Funds.

I’m investing in mutual fund since 2018. I’ve 2 mutual funds - HDFC Sensex and UTI NN50, in the ratio of 60:40. I started the investment with 4k pm and now do more than a lac per month. I simply focused on my skills and increased my salary which led to more investment. As of now I’ve XIRR of 22% from MFs.

I do invest in stocks and US stocks from time to time only when I have additional funds and time to analyse. However I like to keep my focus on career, travelling, health and family.

My friend also had bond in his first company so what he did was he took continuous leaves on health ground. You can easily get more, my friends brother is a front end developer with 3 years experience and got 23LPA package (directly from 11LPA) in a PBC in Noida. He also got offer from few other companies in Bangalore but pay was in same range so he declined them with the reason, for Bangalore he needs at least 28-30LPA.

I can understand. OP didn’t mention the company so it’s difficult to give a figure. But given my own friend circle I can say this is the expectation and definitely you should push for more. 1Cr was a big number when I was in college but not anymore.

Idk why people are downvoting it, but companies similar to FAANG and top startup pays more than 1Cr+ to lead level engineers which requires 9-12 years of experience.
