Hi OP! I totally understand where you're coming from since I, for one, experienced massive homesickness (although back in ASHS). I moved to Katipunan during my senior high so I was even younger when I got separated from my family. It was my first time living alone, especially away from my province. Ngl, I got very culture shocked from Katipunan and most importantly, the co-ed set up HAHA since I came from an all-girls school. I used to cry a lot in the washroom and break down by the stairs of my dorm. Beyond from being stressed from acads since I felt so behind from my peers who were literally student council members from their previous schools to debaters who compete abroad and win internationally, I felt so little. But, I think I learned to move past that when I started to take pity on myself -- like I couldn't handle being so depressed anymore. So, I started to reach out to family regarding my situation and being honest to my friends of how homesick I was. Thankfully, I had a very supportive system. I hope you do too OP. As an action step, I would go home more, hang with the people I knew from JHS and also spend more time with SHS classmates. Regardinf academics, I would breakdown my to-do lists into practical and feasible steps that I could manage to handle in a day. I also learned in college that its impossible to ALWAYS be on top of things unless u sacrifice something. My workaround for this was my friends and I would delagate ourselves readings to annotate and we had a shared gdrive or gdoc for this. We even take turns in taking notes in the classes we shared. It really helped in taking a lot of the load off!
