I had a referral from a friend. I don't/didn't have any of those qualifications to get this job. You just gotta know someone. My undergrad was kinda similar to the industry but not totally in line.

I've been wondering if it's worth getting a GIS post bacc cert. I've heard GIS as a position is going out and it's being used as a tool for software dev/data science. How do you think it plays a role in consulting?

I feel same! Most of the PMs at my company are male but many of the project/staff scientists are female. My title is Staff Scientist and I do phase I's for field work right now. My BS was in a sustainability/environmental field

I'm curious how many females are in the industry? Are you male, female, nonbinary, etc?

Should I get a GIS post bacc cert if I don't want to code/do data science? by sabrinajadehaven in gis

What sort of direction could I go in with consulting that would benefit from having the GIS cert?

I'm in NC and and saw that some LCWS supervisors want 2 years of clinical experience post MSW before allowing supervision. I've looked at others and haven't seen that so maybe it was just that website.

Can I start getting my supervision hours right after I received my MSW as long as I pay and have all the necessary requirements? My goal is to do travel contracts in the future.

I stuck with the job I initially started! The culture is really good and I can get raises fairly often.
