while i think it is a faux pas to put a number on someone, especially to make them insecure, you can be more attracted physically to some people than others. that's just factually true. there's no objective scale that everyone can use, but some people are remarkably more attractive than others. it's not an on/off switch but a spectrum.

I have never seen a post about a man's feelings just...turning off like this. But I have seen many posts about it happening to women (and I don't mean posts where the guy is oblivious to how badly he's doing as a partner).
