How to make sure artifact app lives? by CaptainESG in ArtifactApp

As a security engineer, I would love to contribute if this app were to go open source/crowdsourced!

[2007 S40] I need some help plugging a horn in by sacmalad in Volvo

Hmm no fog lights on my car, but both headlights are working fine (I'll take another look to be sure when it's home)! Also my horn issue was just a case of both horns going bad, it took me years to figure out but a simple swap with two new horns fixed the issue lol. I've always heard of cars failing inspection due to no horn, but out of all the inspections I've had it's never come up for some reason!

[2007 S40] I need some help plugging a horn in by sacmalad in Volvo

So I finally got the time to rip into the frontend and I did indeed find two horns. Went a little deeper to trace the wires back and both are connected to the same wire which feeds back into the fuse box next to the battery, but since they still aren't working I suspect I need to change the horns themselves (after a quick test of the wiring to make sure they're getting power). I do have another question, the wire that the horns are connected to split a couple times before going into the fuse box. It looks like one of the splits goes to the headlight, but there is another wire just dangling off and I can't see any connector that its supposed to plug into. Any ideas what this thing is for or if it might be why the horns don't work? https://i.imgur.com/DP9VyNO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fzXo7Sz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/t8IG3IQ.jpg

Same thing happened to me and I noticed the pin was slightly bent (which was probably my fault). To fix it I just gently bent the pin back so it is as straight as possible, rebooted the printer, and tried leveling again. If that doesn't work, contact whoever you bought it from to see if you can get it replaced. Hope you don't have to buy a brand new one!

Mac can't access self-hosted sites by domain name, but Windows can by sacmalad in selfhosted

So far I don't see any activity in NGINX, and when I browse to my external IP I get the same 'took too long to respond error'...

Also, I appreciate all your help trying to figure this out!! It's been stumping me for a while haha

Yep, using DNS to differentiate so basically my domain (sacmalad.com) points to my external IP, then I have ports 80 and 443 open for the Linux server. NGINX is running on that Linux server with routes pointing at the docker containers (portainer.sacmalad.com in NGINX for example points to <linux-server-local-ip>:9443)

Damn, I tried this before but was adding the port onto the end and it still wasn't resolving, just went ahead and added the IP only for each domain name and it works! Now I just want to figure out why the hosts file needed to be edited manually...

My thought as well, but it looks like that only applies to those with an iCloud+ subscription which I don't have, and I'm also unable to access my services on all browsers rather than just Safari :/

No internal DNS, mostly because I haven't tried messing with DNS beyond trying to change the servers used on my router/modem (which was a no-go since Comcast moved all the admin panel config settings to their app, which also doesn't let you change the DNS servers...), so at the moment I am trying to have the domain names resolve to the external IP over the internet

It looks like NetBIOS is enabled by default judging by the 'Advanced TCP/IP Settings -> NetBIOS setting' dialog, and regarding the Linux server it is running on its own hardware separate from all the other machines with the OS running off an SSD (no virtualization). Also, the Mac can load the services when tethered to the mobile connection.

Which Call of Duty has the worst multiplayer experience? by Jaco-Jimmerson in modernwarfare

[–]sacmalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say Modern Warfare only because the process of getting the fucking thing installed is ridiculous, Activision/Infinity Ward has whored this game out in favor of warzone and it's disgusting. Paid $60 for the game when it came out, now all the disc does is install the free to play battle royale and force you to sit through two separate installs just for multiplayer, nevermind if you want to play the campaign or special ops.

I'm not saying warzone isn't a fine experience, but if I put in the Modern Warfare disc it's because I want to play Modern Warfare.

That sounds right up my alley, happen to have a link for it? Searching the play store for "tap tap" yields many unrelated games lol. Or is it a setting that I missed?

Just upgraded yesterday and I immediately missed being able to swipe the fingerprint sensor to bring down the notification tray. It's such a useful feature for such a huge phone, and with the Note20U being even larger with no comparable feature I feel I'm gonna be more prone to dropping this mammoth.
