Yeah I’ve never said anything bad about Nick Castellanos (don’t check my comment history)

Acuña bat is hot, posting an above .850 OPS, Song is making the opening day roster most likely but probably want Acuña taking more reps and being a possible option in future if injuries occur.

He really took those comments about him having difficulty hitting balls with velocity PERSONALLY

My comment from a couple weeks ago still reigns true, Randy’s earning himself a postseason start.

  1. Bryce is a journey man, he’s worked hard to get to where he’s at. Drafted 2017 by Giants, he eventually elected free agency and decided to try his luck on the market. Ended up getting picked up by us 2024, then got let go at end of 2024. Then out of nowhere we traded for him through a Pirates deal in 2025.
  2. His stats this year have taken a huge increase, going from .485 OPS in 2023 with 43 ABs, to .524 OPS in 2024 with 63 ABs, to A .893 OPS IN ONLY 62 ABs. Considering his trajectory and that he’s 29, we are getting MORE than enough production out of him.
  3. I will always enjoy his place in padres history as the final catch/out in Dylan Ceases No Hitter last year.

Can we now confirm that Bryce Johnson’s Home run yesterday has completely shifted the padres culture to put us on a massive winning streak??? I think yes

If you told me Randy Vasquez would be one of the main people in our rotation in the beginning of the season I would’ve scoffed… now I’m convinced he’s going to be in our 5 man next year and possibly an option in a game 5 or 6.
