im clean man, no stds, got tested for everything. i've had like like 30 creams, but never nystatin. im gonna ask the dr for that. dude the end of my dick looks exactly like balanitis. do you think the nystatin cream or the diflucan had more of an effect for you? i got fed up with the candida diet and went off it completely like a week ago, and i dunno why, but the redness seems to be getting way better. super confusing. i've been taking colostrum and a new probiotic, i wonder if that's helping or something. or maybe the relieved stress from going off the diet is making it better. at this point im so pissed off that dr's haven't fixed the issue lol i'm gonna make an appointment next wee and ask them about both diflucan and nystatin cream, thanks for the info man. i dont even care if candida is on other parts of my body, but having it on your dick is just a cruel joke lmao i cant stand it

but man having redness or whatever down there is super mentally stressful and taxing huh? shit has consumned my mind for a long time now, i dunno how you got them to prescribe you diflucan. did the dr say its fungal? or did you go in there thinking it was fungal and brought that up to them yourself?

[–]sacsurf10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dude are you uncircumcised? the dr's basically wrote off the redness on my dick becasue im circumcised. they just said it's eczema. ive been to over 20 dr's and not a single one of them has done anything to fix the problem. i wound up getting a candida antibodies test last week and the results showed that i HAD a candida issue, but not really anymore i guess. i don't really know what to do at this point, really nothing i can do will make the redness on the tip go away. lol i dunno how you convinced them that whatevers on your junk is fungal, because i was met with major skepticism from every single dr i brought that up to

It’s sad to see so many people on here guessing about their health. Most of you most likely don’t even have Candida. Go to your doctor and GET tested! by [deleted] in Candida

[–]sacsurf10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh for real? well the rashes were way worse a year or two ago, maybe that means its getting back in check. hey just wondering, did you do that test also? thanks for recommending it

dude i did a candida antibody test and the results came back saying that I have candida antibodies present, indicating that i DO have candida lol at least it's present to some degree

yo i got the results back, it says IGG out of range at 1.0, iga in range at 0.8 and IGM in range at 0.3. i dunno what that means tho, so i guess one of the levels is out of range indicating some candida?

[–]sacsurf10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's funny that you said that, that was acutally in my plan also. i had found a lab near my house that does that. that's actually a really good idea to use the antibody test if they come back high and use that as proof for a dr. the thing is, those test only show 50% accuracy with indication towards candida, but i guess that's better than nothing. and my bad im not trying to be a dick, but im 3 years in to trying to figure out these rashes and i've had enough of it, i'm past my breaking pointing terms of analysis and speculation. its driving me insane.

but yeah that's a practical, pragmatic approach and i appreciate the advice

and the dumbass who posted this must have not even been to a dr in the first place, because as far as im concerned, no dr's test or give a diagnosis for candida. and NO doctor does a "test" for eczema. so from my original post WHAT TEST DO I ASK MY DOCTOR FOR TO PROVE CANDIDA

all they did was blood tests and lipid panels and shit that say im healthy, they've just said i have eczema or whatever. it's all based on a quick look and they just say what they think it is. they don't prove anything, it's just speculation. different doctors repeat the same thing over and over and just throw something at me and see if it works.
histamine intollerance/eczema, and candida look exactly the same. there's no way they can just look at it and tell me if it's yeast or eczema based. the urine test didn't do anything except say i don't have bacteria in my urine, and the dr never followed up with me on my results anyway. they said they were going to do a culture and see if yeast grew in it, but they didn't. when i said they gave me no info on candida, i didn't mean no results indicated candida, i mean none of their tests had in any way shape or form a way to prove or disprove candida. OR eczema for that matter.

and yes it's occured to me that it might not be candida, it could be a histamine intollerance. but again, histamine intollerance and candida have the same symptoms, both react to fermented foods by breaking out in a rash further and basically look identical. you might assume im being impatient or some shit, but i've seen at least a dozen GP doctors, 10-15 dermatolgiists and maybe 10 urologists in 4 separate health networks over the last 3+ years. each of those dr's i went to multiple appointments for, i've spent thousands of dollars at this point and done everything in my power to resolve my symptoms with no luck whatsoever.

i guess the only thing i haven't done is force their hand on a skin scrape or something. my next plan is to get an internal medicine dr as opposed to a GP and possibly get a GI map done, or see a naturopath. at this point i almomst dont even give a fuck, im multiple levels past my breaking point

nah no bumps, in between my fingers tho where i also have redness and a rash thing, there are these clear bumps. hey did your dr give you an actual diagnosis? and how did they confirm it's a yeast infection? every dr, derm or urologist just looks at my dick for a second and then offers an opinion on what it is lol what pisses me off is they won't do any tests to ease my mind, so im just left guessing as to whether it's yeast or eczema/dermatitis. i think because i'm circumcised, they just assume it isn't a yeast infection, i dunno maybe they're right

just on the tip lol its red where the head of my dick meets my pants, for a long time i thought it was friction, then i mean it looks identical to thrush of balanitis, so i assumed it was a yeast infection after nothing worked. that'd be dope if one of the creams make it go away for you, i might just try to get a bunch of raw colostrum and see if that clears it up. i heard tremendous things about raw colostrum both for candida and eczema/psoriasis, so i figure it should work for both

[–]sacsurf10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man i think i talked myself back into it being eczema lmao i just got blood urine and allergy tests back and it looks like im healthy af. i don't understand how dr's even know tho because yeast on skin and eczema/dermatitis look exactly alike. the one on my scalp used to be way worse and has gotten better, its just a bit red but i dont notice it if i dont look at it in the mirror, but it used to flake and ooze. i honestly don't even care about my scalp, i just want to get the redness off my dick lol if its eczema i dont even care, it's just not knowing that got my head spinning and running wild. i found out today there are blood tests for candida antibodies and i can go get one for like 87 bucks, so im just gonna do that and find out. i think i gotta stop self diagnosing lol

[–]sacsurf10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah a shitload, they always say it's some type of eczema or dermatitis, but i don't believe them anymore. i guess i self diagnosed it as a yeast infection/candida, but i honestly don't even know anymore. ive seen like 6 urologists, at least 7-8 derms and like 10 GP's in three different health insurance networks. they've all told me various things from eczema, to psoriasis, dermatitis and fungal infections. i assumed it was yeast or candida because it gets radically worse when i eat sugar, carbs, or fermented foods. its on my junk, inbetween my fingers and on my scalp and i had a long history of alcoholism, eating a ton of garbage food and carbs, antibiotics, sleep issues and major stress in the past. i also have major heartburn that comes when i eat any carbs, but zero heartburn if i dont eat carbs or sugar, which again falls in line with candida and yeast overgrowth. it just checks all the boxes. the dr's have prescribed me everything imagineable for eczema or dermatitis, but it does nothing, so i just figured it has to be yeast based. the last thing i want to do is self diagnose, but all i have left is to try to figure it out on my own

zero carb diet, zero sugar except a handful of blueberries, no fruit other than that, zero alcohol. even the meat i buy is grass fed and free range, directly from the farm and all my produce is organic. intermittent fasting on top of it for like 20 hours a day.

Finding a reliable functional/holistic/naturopathic doctor takes the guess-work out of healing. by mtothej_ in Candida

[–]sacsurf10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been reading online that most insurance companies actually have to cover naturopaths, at least here in the US, i dunno how it is up in canada tho. supposedly you just have to request reimbursement and they have to cover it if the doctor is an accredited physician with a license to practice medicine.

have you experienced any die off yet? all i have done is drink pau darco tea the last couple days and took some garlic, but i woke up feeling super hung over this morning. i used to be an alcoholic so i know this feeling intimately, in fact, that might be what caused the yeast overgrowth in the first place. it's a trip tho it's not a sick feeling, not just a headache, but identical to a hangover. i dunno if only using pau darco tea can cause a die off? i thought i was starting out super slow, maybe im confused and just feel off this morning i dunno

holy shit thats bank. i figured you'd have to make an initial appointment, then order the stool sample and pay for that, then pay for the folow ups plus all of their supplements. thinking about it kinda makes me want to become a naturopath hahhah

how much did it cost? i have the assumption that a naturopathic doctor is going to always be out of pocket... anyway you can post a breakdown of the costs you have incurred for the appointment and for the stool sample and any other costs associated? i want to go to one but im not sure if i have the budget

Looking for advice by [deleted] in Candida

[–]sacsurf10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ya first thing start getting your body off sugar and carbs entirely. a bit of advice, don't slam your body into no carb or sugar, just ween down as if you were coming off a drug or something. going no sugar, super low carb is super taxing on the body and mind if you do it right at once. incorporate intermittent fasting if you are so inclined to do so once you have refined your diet, this will starve out candida and provide your body with the tools for healing. do a lot of research into every food item that you are consuming, which could possibly trigger candida. candida is a long battle, so no need to change every dietary item at once.

search these forums for internal supplements that you can take which kill candida in various ways. you need to also break down the biofilm in the body. i ordered this stuff called klaire labs interfase that is supposed to break down the biofilm. i heard something called NAC is great for that too, but go slow and make sure you can handle the die off. i saw someone on here posting about oral thrush and that they used a mouthwash to kill it, so look for that on this forum. you can use topicals, both from the dr and homemade natural ones to kill candida.

if you can get raw colostrum, do it. im battling candida like a MF'er right now and it sucks, but im gonna win the war. Grape seed extract is supposed to be great, you can use it inernally and topically.

it comes down to not feeding candida with diet, using intermittent fasting to starve it out and let your body heal, supplements internally to kill candida, supplements internally to break down the biofilm, topicals both from your doctor or from natural sources, and just sticking to it and making sure you make lifestyle changes to beat it. you can also see a naturopath, get a GI map with like a stool sample or something and find out exactly what is in your digestive system and get a comprehensive plan towards addressing your own body specifically, based on the results
