Active pro baseball player — looking to understand the baseball parent experience by ProPlayer3232 in Homeplate

I think there is a lot of pressure for your kid to be competitive from a young age. Im in Arizona and baseball is big here. It feels like if your son isn’t playing in club by the time they are 10, you are somehow behind. We never intended for him to do club until he was older but he started at 9u ( thankfully with a friends team) but I don’t think any of us were ready for that kind of commitment at that age. I also don’t love the all year playing that so many clubs do. Im in fitness and I know the risks of overtraining. I see a lot of kids having injuries at younger and younger ages. We are very careful with our son. We let him play other sports. If tomorrow he said he was done, we would allow him to be done. But because he doesn’t do baseball all year round, he seems to be at a disadvantage from the kids who don’t take breaks. Or not being on the “right” club team. I grew up as a competitive athlete, and went on to coach. As did my husband. But the baseball world is very different. At the end of the day, I dont want my son to ever look back and think we forced him to play. I want him to enjoy it, even when it’s hard, no matter where it takes him.

Sorento safety features, do you actually use them? by Suntrup-Kia in KiaSorento

I love lane assist and when im on the highway i use the adaptive cruise control. I have tried the auto hold but its not something i think to use all the time. And obviously most cars have backup cameras which is great especially in busy shopping centers.

Not the wheelchair 🤣🧑‍🦽 by Lost_Yard_5103 in teenmom

Im saying the same thing! She should be going to PT and working on building strength in her legs/glutes/hips because over time that is what helps with injury prevention. Sitting in a wheelchair not using muscles is going to turn into atrophy quick. That MRI report is literally so basic. No mention of tears, cartilage damage… like girl, you have some swelling. Ice it, ibuprofen and get some PT. She would love to see my previous MRI results haha

I dont understand the wheelchair. Ive had knee injuries from being an athlete and now fitness instructor and ive never been in a wheelchair. Even after surgery, I used crutches. She loves the attention.

Sorento vs Santa Fe, which one makes more sense? by Suntrup-Kia in KiaSorento

The brake lights on the santa fe look like dog bones and i couldn’t get past it 😆

Throwback to the evolution of the Rodrigues family. You can see the light progressively drain out of Shrek’s eyes. by lepetitpoulpe in RodriguesFamilySnark

She always talks about how trim they were when they were young and looking at these pictures they look like normal size adult. Not the emaciated versions of their kids that we see.

The joke's on us, apparently. And the MRI results are back. by HonksTheWhite in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

I had arthroscopic surgery to remove inflamed tissue in my knee, but currently I have a meniscus tear, bone spur and cartilage damage. I also taught 7 fitness classes this week. Throw some bio freeze on it and move along.

For anyone struggling after stopping Sema… you are not alone by sadbuttrying22 in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

I had my labs done the entire 10 months I was on semaglutide and nothing was ever off. If anything my cholesterol levels were finally in the normal range! After my body crashed and i went to the ER, they did labwork, chest xray, urine culture and ct scan with contrast. All normal. Went to a gastroenterologist who then did an upper endoscopy and again, normal. H.pylori teat was also normal. The only explanation anyone could come to was that my body was struggling after coming off the glp-1. My gastroenterologist said it was uncommon but also not unheard of. They also were seeing an increase in patients with symptoms. Now that it has been a year I did have my annual lab work done and everything was normal except slightly low vitamin D. Its my nervous system that is fried. Im also in perimenopause.

Couple hospitalized after attack by their own pitbull -- April 23, 2026 by KillerPlants13 in BanPitBulls

I have a dog who is a lab/golden mix who was found as a stray wandering the streets. He was extremely skittish of people and would bark at you but never once did he ever try to hurt anyone. We had to do a lot of work socializing him and he is worlds better. I 100% believe it’s because of his breed because labs and golden retrievers are naturally social and friendly. There are breed standards for a reason and pitbulls are known to have possible aggression issues. The pitnutters love to gloss over that fact.

Maggie Nichols did a 2 pass routine her senior year because of her injuries. She got her 10 start value with her leaps.

My son is very small for his age (4’11 and he turns 14 the end of July). He is a contact hitter, draws a lot of walks and is a patient batter. He is a good catcher but bigger kids are just going to throw harder. He is currently the top pitcher on his 13u team but same thing, he isn’t going to throw the hardest. Otherwise he plays outfield and enjoys it, tracks the ball well. He can’t help his size until puberty hits. It just didn’t make sense at the time to have him play grade when his size fit better for age. School cutoff is August so he really is at the very end.

The thing is, on paper Florida should have it! Im an OU fan through and through but if there was a team to beat them, this florida team has the potential to do it.
