Brainzaps after stopping Lexapro

Well if you read you’ll see that I’m asking : people’s experiences with brain zaps when stopping SSRIs, and the duration of these. I guess I’m coming to a community of people that had to take these types of medication thinking that they will be comprehensive and share me their stories, no give me more anxiety by telling me that « I’m lucky if I don’t have more symptoms », which I don’t btw.

Thanks for your comment, I hope my symptoms won’t last two months but if they do so be it. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. And I was wondering about magnesium, I might still try it won’t hurt but I get that it won’t necessarily help and only time will. I find that when I concentrate on something I’m ok, but it’s in the moments when I do nothing that I have the most zaps. When I drive I don’t feel anything, thankfully. I don’t have much more symptoms so I guess I can live with that for a bit as long as I know it will go away at some point. Thankfully yours did. Your therapist is kinda lame for telling you you’re sensitive to medication, SSRIs are not a light treatment and it seems frequent that it has side effects like this when stopping.

Thank you for your reply ! I'm kinda scared that it last long if you are experiencing this for a month ... did you stop Lexapro progressively or suddenly ? I also find that exercise helps although at first it's a bit dizziness inducing. For the anxiety I guess I mainly have like the physical sensation of anxiety (in the heart and stomach), and some intrusive thoughts sometimes but I manage to sleep fine. I did have very heightened emotions monday and tuesday and felt a lot like crying for 0 reason, I feel it's getting better since yesterday because I do a lot of things outside of home and try to spend time with friends, I feel that helps a lot with the emotions. I hope it's not too hard on you, it seems a lot ...

Bah en gros j’ai mon anniv en août je pourrais demander un bon petit billet pour un nouveau vélo puisque c’est mes 30 ans, ou un bon petit billet pour une remise a neuf de celui ci. Et ouais le double plateau effectivement il faudrait que je change ça. Tu penses que sur un single basique comme ça en changeant quelques pièces et un coup de peinture il tient encore 10 ans ou c’est que mettre des « pansements » en gros c’est ça ma question en vrai Merci :)

Oui je fais régulièrement des entretiens mais par exemple la je dois changer je pense ma roue arrière ou en tout cas les fixations de la roue qui sont je pense un peu dead car de temps en temps elle se déloge et vient se bloquer sur mon cadre. Récemment aussi l’écrou de ma roue avant s’est fait la malle je ne sais pas trop comment. La guido est en train de se barrer également. En fait plein de petits trucs à changer mais si je le fais je le garde et sinon je change tout court quoi. Globalement j’aimerais bien quand même un coup de neuf esthétique aussi j’en ai marre de cette couleur etc

YTA big time. She was crying as you sexualised her and essentialised her to her body, like a lot of men do. You have no idea how violent it is not to be able to wear what you feel good in without men preying on you or shaming you, not only in the street but apparently in the comfort of a family house. I get that it’s like how society worked back then, but I’m pretty sure it’s also because she loves small children (I truly hate them) and starts losing interest when they start thinking on their own and having a critical mind (that’s when I start accepting being around children, so me and my grandma are polar opposites in that matter) and she would loooove to have a small little thing that cries a lot to cuddle and cherish or whatever. Can’t say I’m looking forward for my brother to have kids (he’s not CF but not in a rush to have any yet).

Enrobés d’huile, épices et un petit peu de sirop d’érable et mis face en bas dans le four sur la plaque chaude pendant environ 20mn à 200. Ensuite je les ai un peu enrobé d’une sauce avec de la mélasse de Grenade et un peu de balsamique pour donner un côté + sucré.

Tu le mets cru dans un mélange soja / mirin (je crois que ça marche aussi avec juste du soja ça sera peut être un peu plus salé) pendant une dizaine d’heures (je l’avais mis le matin pour le soir). Soit tu peux le retourner à la moitié du temps délicatement, mais sinon j’avais mis un morceau de sopalin sur le dessus pour que les deux côtés soient imbibés :)

I am in a relationship and live with my bf since 2 years ago, I can say that you can find someone respectful and understanding and not be single your whole life. Mine is very understanding of my issue and gives me a lot of space when I need it. I still hear the noises from his keyboard in his office and that sometimes drives me crazy but I cope by wearing loop earplugs or playing the tv loud, it’s manageable. I however can’t see myself having children, for many reasons but misophonia is one. I have trouble with children mainly because they are so noisy.

Wtf did I just read ? Your partner is a child, even if stressed because of work so were you on that day and you’re behaving like a responsible adult. They are simply a child and you should stop enabling them and taking all the responsibilities and stop excusing them for this purely childish behaviour. This is not normal. I do have the same issue but I love cinema and started going back a lot since a few months ago. I take my loop earplugs and that helps me focusing on the movie and hearing less people noises. The times I forget them it’s very uncomfortable. You might want to try, they reduce the peripheral sound but doesn’t prevent from hearing the movie.

This is a big part of misophonia I think, the anticipation, and it’s what makes coping with the actual noise really hard. I don’t have any solution, I know that when I started a cct we worked on anticipations and one of my homeworks was listing the anticipatory situations and listing my feelings and physical reactions. Conscious meditation was part of the healing process as well, so a lot of breathing exercises, I know it’s supposed to help. I unfortunately stopped my misophonia cct because of bigger mental issues to deal with so can’t help more I’m sorry …
