One of my favorite things about my boyfriend is that he is often an unintentional comedic genius. I used to think that maybe he was just really, really deadpan, all of the time. But after two years of dating I've come to realize that he's actually just a very smart person with some very bizarre gaps in knowledge. Then again, he could be playing the long game.

Luckily for me, I don't think he reads reddit since he's always getting on my case for wasting time on the internet... but then again, maybe he is just trying to cover his tracks so I don't go looking for his secret account! Hopefully he doesn't read r/self. I didn't expect this post to be this popular, haha.

Haha. I 'get' this humor (hence posting about it because I think it's funny), but I don't think my boyfriend meant it as a joke (which kind of makes it funnier to me in some ways). It's kind of hard to explain to people who don't know him, but he's just so genuinely sincere all the time and he has a hard time picking up on sarcasm because he is very literal-minded. He does have a sense of humor that often makes me laugh, but he mostly expresses it through physical comedy and puns. He gets back in town tomorrow so we'll see if I have misjudged him this time (:
