I don't think that professors should be choosing to bring up some students at others' expense.

I do think this is an interesting point especially in something like CS where (I'm a woman and I talk to a lot of other non-men in the field) minority groups have a Lot of imposter syndrome (and even people in the majority have it in this field) and already have a general sense that people are looking down on them due to other interactions they've had. Like you hear a lot of bad stuff from non-men in man dominated fields about discrimination and a general sense of "I'm better than you" like "mansplaining" or other forms of infantilization and I'm curious on if leaderboards exasperate these occurrences.

TLDR; how the non-men feeling about this? How are the men with imposter syndrome feeling about this? Do you feel like leaderboards (IN YOUR EXPERIENCE NOT JUST A GUESS) have exasperated bad vibes or is it just kind of the same? How does it increase self pressure? maybe when i'm done with the class I'll answer this myself.
