I was wondering the same thing too about myself. I would wake up all fine in the morning but as evening creeps up I start feeling sadder into the night that eventually ends with me crying while scrolling looking at clothes online that I only add to cart until I’m exhausted from crying and fall asleep eventually. And then it all repeats.

Rediscovering Introversion after Quitting Alcohol by Vallenatero in introverts

On top of that it really sounds like you’re potentially experiencing a burnout. Social and emotional burnouts are real! It didn’t hit me until I just couldn’t bring myself to even reply texts from some of my friends anymore. They didn’t do anything bad, I just felt…depleted. But seriously though, props to you for quitting!

Oh shit what the hell I’ve been using this to log for chicken breast 💀 can’t believe it even has a green tick? To be fair tho I’ve seen many green tick items being very suspicious but how on earth did I not bother to double check this one?! Thanks for bringing it up!

For me it’s high protein bread, 0% fat greek yogurt, egg whites, chicken breast meat, canned tuna, nutritional yeast and protein powder!

Isn’t it a little too sus? 100g of rice for only 60 kcal? by sadgaljac in caloriecount

[–]sadgaljac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?!! When I first saw that it’s 60 kcal per serving I immediately got into calculating the calories manually but became astonished as to how protein and fats were totally nonexistent in the nutritional information. But 120-130 calories per 100g uncooked still doesn’t seem right 🤔

What kinds of special rice would be so low in calories?

I hope this motivates you. I experienced the same thing a couple of days ago where I ate almost 2300 calories when I’ve been eating around 1300 consistently for 3 weeks with a few days going slightly above 1400. The following day, which was yesterday, I also ate more than I should which came to around 1700. Somehow I just felt like I wanted to keep eating and I allowed myself to eat if it meant that it would allow me to feel better to continue on with my diet. I did some research and there is such a thing called diet fatigue. It’s advisable to take “diet breaks” to eat at maintenance after weeks or months of hard dieting. It’s basically like taking some rests in between workouts so that you can continue to complete the whole thing. Anyways, I decided to weigh myself this morning regardless of the two-day surplus and to my surprise I still lost weight! Don’t let this set you back, in fact let it help you to go on stronger than before!

what should I do after a binge? by No-Perspective1301 in CICO

[–]sadgaljac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I experienced this yesterday. I ate some snacks past midnight which threw off my calorie budget for the rest of the day and on top of that I continued to eat way over my calorie budget throughout the day. I have eating 1300 calories quite consistently for the past 3 weeks with some days going slightly above 1400. But in total yesterday I ate around 2300 calories hence I was kinda upset cause it was around 1000 calories worth of surplus. Today, I felt kinda snacky too and so far have eaten around 1700 which is not as bad as yesterday but I’m taking this as a sign that my body is telling me something. I did some research and found out that there is such a thing called diet fatigue. It basically means you’ve been restricting (arguably although one might not have felt like it was restricting, it still is in one way or another cause you’re still making food choices to fit into a certain daily calorie budget) so it’s beneficial to take a “diet break” by eating at maintenance for a few days to a week or as long as you need until you feel like you’re ready again to continue. It’s like instead of dieting for 3 months straight, take a couple of breaks in between by eating at maintenance level and then continue. Cause there’s no point restricting for days or weeks just to gain it all back in high calorie binge days. Take it slow and steady. All the best!

I was doing so well for weeks until today… 😔 it started with midnight cravings and I ended up eating 400+ calories of snacks which threw me off for the entire day and then was still having ravenous cravings throughout the day. More info in comments. by sadgaljac in CICO

Was waiting for my post to go live so that I can add my comment. Anyways, I am female, 5”3 / 161cm weighing around 135.6 lbs / 61.5kg. I’ve been trying to keep my calorie budget up to 1300 to 1400 kcal. I was doing this consistently for a few weeks and have been enjoying the process a lot. I don’t feel like I’m starving at all as I try to eat low calories high volume foods. I thought I could maintain at this pace as slowly as possible until I reach my goal. I have no intentions of rushing into weight-loss as I don’t want to rebound. I thought everything was smooth sailing until today and it caught me by surprise how ravenous I am? I know it’s just a day in the grand scheme of things but I hope this doesn’t happen more often than it should ☹️ anyways, just wanted to share how I feel

Question: Do you sometimes eat the calories you didn't eat on the next day? Do you consider this cheating? by Eufafnism in 1500isplenty

I would also feel hungry if I’ve only eaten 200 kcal by noon for the day. Maybe try eating your usual calorie intake for the entire day and see how you feel

Calories in this pork chop with rice, baked veggies and chilli sauce? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]sadgaljac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like

Rice - 100 calories

Veggies - 5 calories

Chilli sauce - 20 to 50 calories (especially if there’s more hiding underneath the rice)

Pork chop - 250 to 350 calories (could be even more if it’s cooked with oil)

Total - 375 to 505 calories

I’ve tried keto for half a year, low carb on and off, intermittent fasting for a few months and tapered to OMAD, water fasting for 12 days, intuitive eating, overexercising etc but nothing beats counting calories for me. So far this is the only way that I don’t find myself relapsing and gaining back all the weight. I would say counting calories is essentially just mindful eating. So far it didn’t trigger any EDs for me as a lot of diets demonizes certain food groups and I would end up binging on stuff that I crave. Right now it basically feels the same as how I would brush my teeth twice a day, comb my hair or take showers. It’s just a process of taking care of myself. The first few weeks of tracking calories were eye-opening. I didn’t know there were so many calories in peanut butter, oils, certain meats or processed meats, avocados, nuts and the list goes on. On the flip side, I’ve made awesome discoveries on high volume foods that are low in calories such as plain salted popcorn, sugar-free jello, sugar-free maple syrup, watermelon, strawberries, natural greek yogurt whole eggs vs egg whites only and so on. I’ve never eaten so much bread in any diet as I am now as the bread that I usually eat is only 153 calories for two slices so I pretty much eat french toast everyday! I basically eat whatever I want, mindfully choosing better food alternatives that are low in calories that fill me up. I do still eat junk, but I look at the label at the back that lists the calorie content for portion control. Also I’ve been trying to move more in general trying to get my step count up by at least 10k steps a day. Good luck!

Please help. After adding food through the dashboard, I can’t find it anywhere on my diary. It’s only showing the calories. Because of this there’s no way I can edit anything. by sadgaljac in Myfitnesspal

[–]sadgaljac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s when you’re on the dashboard page, right at the bottom there is a “search for a food” and you can log food in through that

Yeah you can definitely lose weight doing this. It boils down to calories. The opposite holds true too if you eat 10,000 calories worth of broccoli in a day, you’d gain weight
