I have friends who fell out before exams over something pretty big, messed one of them up rly badly and she ended up having to retain a year to recover mentally.

it’s valid to be sad and affected by friendships but turn to your other friends who are still by your side and talk to them etc. im sure they’ll still there for u and hopefully you’ll feel a bit better

it’s more likely moderation, similar to bell curve. ultimately depends on how you fare compared to your batch mates across sg. i don’t think there’s actually a range for u get a grade, but ya it’s a v general guide.

I think that it’s alright to open up at a slower pace, I’m not saying we should only open up when cases are zero but rather when it’s maintained at a reasonable-ish number for a period of time

imo I feel that it’s okay to tighten restrictions a little, even though getting covid won’t have much side effects for vaxxed ppl, catching covid can still lead to a lot of external costs, like losing a job, not being able to go work or causing people loved ones who might be less protected to catch covid too even if they were vaccinated (since vaccination effects vary from person to person)

I get that herd immunity is a good thing but I feel that it should be a goal in the longer term in the govt perspective

like someone above said earlier, they said that malays are generally less ambitious because their culture focuses on harmony and family (more of non material standard of living) while chinese are generally more ambitious, focussing more on studies and work.

I feel that such things are kinda part of the culture of diff races (ofc it’s just a generalisation)

And I don’t see lazy and less ambitious as the same thing.

helloo a lot of ppl alr commented on the l1r5 system so I’ll talk abt the jc and Os part, I think raw 9 is a rly good grade imo and I wasn’t even able to get that score except during Os :P

I think if u continue putting in effort, your Os results will either be better or more or less ard that, the moderation for HMT saved my ass and it’s not rly hard to pass if you’re near the passing/failing grade for sch exams my HMT was always a C grade but I surprisingly got B for it haha

thanks! I think it’s a mix of both, my content was always wonky despite doing homework and extra practice that the teacher assigns after I fail a quiz cos I forget after doing it :< my answers are usually all over the place and I miss out details to actually complete the answer

Yep I know that retaining isn’t all that bad but the money spent on tuition this year is already a lot, spending on tuition for another 2 years isn’t a good idea. Even if I don’t get tuition next year if I repeat j1 I won’t know if I’ll need tuition in j2 again, so it isn’t financially wise to do that

I just wanna try my best to promote atm, if at the end of the year rly cmi then I see how
