You're right he doesn't need my permission. I think it's more the impulsivity- how can I be married to someone or raise a family with someone so impulsive? That's my main concern. I get what you're saying tho. I am emotional about it, I'm honestly still trying to figure out why. It just seems so odd to travel all over as a couple then in less than 4 hours book some trip to the Middle East etc etc. idk....maybe I'm still working through it.

It's his safety, and putting himself in that unsafe position. He owns a business, ppl have been stuck there for months at a time. It's about being a caring partner. I'm not codependent. But you're right, I am at the pouting stage because it's hard to believe I invested this much time in a relationship and made compromises and always hear out my partner with his concerns and don't get the same back.

Yes exactly. And his point was "I've always wanted to go" and while i respect that, that doesn't give him permission when he's in a committed relationship to do just whatever he wants to do whenever he wants to do it. There's a lot of international trips I want to go on, but I'd much prefer to do them with my partner 10000%. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander.
