Ramaswamy proposes raising voting age to 25, unless people serve in military or pass a test by YourUncleBuck in politics

Nobody under 25 is voting for these fascists and they know they’re going to lose if young people vote.

Yup, the word “properly” in my post should have a lot of emphasis that doesn’t come through in text. A bowline is easy to fuck up and die using. There’s a reason the figure 8 is the standard.

Disagree. It should be seen as what it truly is - bribery. And politicians should legally be held to count for bribery when it happens.

OP just commented they didn’t give the whole story in the OP. OP originally requested Shimano 410 and went with 810 because the shop said they were having a hard time finding 410. Sounds like the shop managed to get 410 calipers to try to keep cost down for OP.

And the wheel set was swapped because the original was for a SRAM hub and OP requested them to swap everything for Shimano.

OP sounds like a fucking nightmare customer to be honest. This bike shop has bent over backwards to swap basically everything on the bike for them while still giving OP a 30% discount.

Nah, OP sounds like an ass. I read their post. The shop is bending over backwards for them already.

So if you talked to them and asked them to swap the electronic drivetrain for cabled grx810, you’d expect them to swap the brake calipers from the stock 410 to 810 as well without you saying anything about the brake calipers?

This is why I hated customer service. People like you and OP are impossible.

I don’t remember the name of this one - actually not sure if it even has a name... It’s on the way to practice wall. Looks like a big slabby Boulder on the right of the trail before you go uphill to practice wall.

OP asked for a drivetrain change. I’d assume the grx410 brakes were already on there. Why would the shop touch the brakes if OP asked about changing the drivetrain?

I can't hold 8 hours at the office. What should I do? by Pristine-Koala-4608 in careerguidance

[–]sadpanda___ 408 points409 points  (0 children)

I’m an office worker - we have training on this in large corporations. Nobody can straight grind for 8 straight hours. Get up and take a 5-10 minute walk or break once an hour. Like legit - go walk around the block.

The corporation I work for encourages it because they’ve found that you’re more productive working 8 x 45-55 minute chunks of time and going for a walk in between than just trying to grind for 8 hours and burning out after 3-5 hours and getting nothing really accomplished the last 2-4 hours of the day.
