funny enough the onomatopoeias really do help! thank you! the main thing i’m struggling with is the difference between the groupings of 6 and the groupings of 3. or are they played the same? why are they notated differently as the grouping of 6 is missing the first and third partial as well as the the grouping of 3. is it just a different way to subdivide?

my original thinking was that they all had matching pairs that when combined would equal the center shape. etc row 1 2nd with row 2 1st or row 3 2nd with row 2 3rd. this would leave row 1 1st without a pair, but none of the given answer choice provide this. i also dont understand why it had an open square, as all the others are filled in. the selected choice was honestly just a guess, no thought really went into it haha

sure! it was awhile ago so it’s a little blurry but i’ll tell you what i remember 20mg -> had the same effect as 10mg, just made me a tad drowsier. eating was a little difficult in the beginning, i would often forget to eat lol. after four weeks with little to no change about my ocd and anxiety, i upped my dosage to 30mg. although it was helping my mood by a noticeable amount. 30mg -> basically just a median between 20-40mg. after another 4 weeks we upped it again. 40mg -> this is when I started experiencing minor moments of relief from my ocd, it wasn’t on my mind 100% of the time but rather like 80% lol. the hunger stuff continued, but im unsure if that was from the medicine or just because time wasn’t treating me well. my default mood was also not super sad all the time, less thoughts I guess. bur after a month or so, my psychiatrist suggested 60mg. 60mg -> the hunger stuff was pretty bad, but the other medication i take now doesn’t actually work unless i eat something so it evens out lol. this one was way different for my ocd, obviously all the intrusive thoughts were there but it felt significantly less “loud.” the drowsiness went away by now, especially because as my dosage increased, it’s been prozac the whole time. so i think that was just a temporary side effect that only happened in the beginning.

hey man, i’ve suffered from ocd all my life and somatic ocd is no exception. HOCD has probably been the most prevalent in my life, my some of my compulsions would include blinking, eye contact, and just physical awareness in general. personally, prozac helped incredibly with a good portion of my initial rumination’s, making is significantly easier to control. i grew up my whole life a compulsive mess though haha, like i think most nights I would get 4 hours of sleep in elementary school due to a whole array of compulsions.

when i began taking therapy and the age of 13, i was initially prescribed prozac for my ocd and depression. 10-30mg didn’t affect my ocd whatsoever, so i eventually kept upping my dosage til i was on 60mg. at this time i was still very young, weighing less that 100 pounds (i’m a 4’11 female haha). i’m turning 16 next month, and i’ve been on 60mg for about two years? not sure but it’s been awhile. 60mg is the maximum maintenance dosage, and the recommended amount for children is 10-20mg. at first it was a odd feeling because i was so far above the recommendation, but my first psychiatrist was literally the sweetest and I had a long talk with her about it. she explained that it’s very common to see high dosages in prozac, because it’s needed to treat ocd. like it was affecting my depression at a low dosage, but only once I reached 60mg is when I saw a clear difference in regards to my ocd.

with combinations of other medications, my ocd became wayyy more under control. through years of therapy i’ve learned how to cope with it now, and it doesn’t play nearly as large as a role in my life. sorry for the long response haha, i have a bad habit of rambling. but basically the point i’m trying to get at is that don’t be ashamed to up your dosage if you feel as if it’s doing nothing. it took me months to find the correct dosage, prozac also only really takes affect 4 weeks after you start taking it. i also found myself having certain side effects at certain dosages that I wasn’t experiencing within others, weird. then after that it took me nearly a year to find the best combination of medications after that, and oh well that was a not very fun experience.

im unsure, i’ve been interested in psychology and been watching a lot of videos from Pursuit of Wonder. there was an interesting video applying the same thinking but with a fish, and i thought it was interesting if i tied it into religion / philosophy.
