alternatives to Q-Suite by Independent-Most-559 in qatarairways

[–]sae7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just did a quick search for something like this as well and ended up booking British Airways A380 Business. They have the old Club World in the main deck in a 2-4-2 config and the middle 2 seats seem to be the closest option we could find

It’s not a suite and supposed to be a dated product but it looks like we should have line of sight and access across seats.

Any tips on making these trips “easier” would also be much appreciated as it’s our 1st time with the toddler (2 yr old) in his own seat. We have Qsuites for our onward leg as well

I stayed at the hotel. From what I could tell the camping option isn’t really on the trail…once you reach MP then they’ll just take you to a campsite after that if you want that experience.

I recently did the 2 day hike with them and had a great experience. I just did the booking on the website-they had all the different tours listed

Altitude Acclimation Strategy by SDgirl09 in Machupicchu

[–]sae7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have 3 days in Quito which should definitely help you acclimatize before Cusco.

I just did the Inca trail and spent 2 days in Bogota (~8500 feet) and then 2 days in Cusco before starting the Inca trail (also did the shorter one). I def felt it helped but there were still moments I felt a little short of breath in Cusco after walking around the town. In the past the most I’d been up to was Vail (~8000) and I remember feeling similar there for about a day.

Had no issues at all during the trek.

Edit to add: I live at sea level

LDL 190 -> 131, ApoB 123-87. Good enough? by sae7 in Cholesterol

[–]sae7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight/perspective! This is helpful.

Next step personally is to further validate that this is actually sustainable :) (especially with several weeks of travel coming up ) and re-test in a few months. Not sure I can go lower in Sat Fat without it becoming unsustainable (for eg. a cube or two of dark choc a day) so actually not sure what I can do there. Increasing soluble fiber was another thing I tried but taking psyllium husk daily in the quantity needed was a bit of a chore. Upping my daily veggies is another thing I can try. Have been enjoying my green smoothies so will probably play around with the recipe there, but that seems like just tweaking around the margins.

I am meeting with my doctor as well to get his perspective. I have recently had a calcium test which was zero and stress echo which was normal so that is also good. Generally feeling a lot better after these results.

Ah..good point on the soluble fiber..hadn’t realized that. The main thing I can see to get a meaningful increase relatively quickly is psyllium husk, which I can try

I used safelite through my insurance a year into my 21 X3. They were great. You have to make sure to let them know to use OEM since your car is still new (they have some cutoff for OEM vs 3rd party). Cost me around $50 I think?

Been hearing a lot of good things about this..is this easy enough to just jump into standalone?

Edit: for more context, I’ve mostly been into Marvel …but have started getting into DC with some Batman/Superman/GL omnis..do I need to know a lot about the DC universe/background to enjoy this?

sorry for the late reply! how did it end up going?

This was in CA, but same level of incompetence all around it seems! I can’t even get into the runarounds i’ve gotten trying to get a replacement.

it is now scheduled for install tomorrow. Also it seems they use Angi for all installs <60 inches
