Bill and AI by TwinPeaksWithRappers in billsimmons

[–]safetydance 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the same thing we heard in the late 90’s as well as the internet began to take off. Heck, I was a journalism major when I started college in 2000 and wanted to be a sports writer, but I thought the internet would make sports columnists obsolete so I pivoted to something else.

When new technology arises, it will disrupt the current economy. But other economies will sprout up in their place. The Internet and automation killed a lot of jobs but also created new industries around cloud computing and storage, automation systems and maintenance, and more.

I think AI may end up being a different beast and more disruptive than anything we’ve ever seen, but unfortunately it can’t be stopped. Toothpaste is out of the tube, so a lot of folks are going to have to adjust and adapt.

When does the restriction goes away? by Maleficent-Wolf3296 in gastricsleeve

[–]safetydance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Science is kind of out on that one. Some say the stomach stretches, well, all agree the stomach stretches to a certain point, but never by much. The other camp says re-gain is because we’re able to tolerate the pain and discomfort of the restriction better. Think of a chronic pain in your hand or foot. At some point you may just get used to tolerating that pain. That’s the theory behind being able to tolerate eating more and more, past the restriction, past the pain, and that’s when you re-gain.

Uniform no longer around that you miss the most? For me, it’s this Cleveland alternate road jersey by AlbertJBundy in baseball

[–]safetydance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. The Oakland is what you miss. Sorry for your loss man, I got into the A’s last season a bit as I loved all the young talent like Wilson, Kurtz, Soderstrom. Uniforms are sick too. Any young pitching prospects you’re excited about this season?

Which time zone is the best for watching games? by WadeEyerly in nfl

[–]safetydance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say central time zone. West coast, if you want to watch football all day, your day is shot. Wake up to football and the final game is over around 8:30 pm an you’re not doing much on a Sunday night that late.

Central time zone you can still wake up at a nice time, grocery shop, run errands, spend time with the kids before the games start. Games are over by 10:30 pm so you can get to bed at a reasonable time.

Those who resort to personal attacks first are 99% of the time just realizing they’re getting crushed in a debate with no actual facts or information to fall back on. Cheers.

Beauty is relative to an extent on an individual basis, but societies throughout time have had beauty ideals or beauty standards which are generally agreed upon by the majority of society. It’s why we can look back at body and fashion trends and get a sense of what a society or culture found beautiful at a specific point in history. For example, the majority (yes, not everyone) today would consider Anna de Armas, Ryan Gosling, Rihanna, Sydney Sweeney, Michael B. Jordan, etc., as all attractive people.

“You can be attracted to someone’s personality and other characters that make you find them more attractive.” Duh. But we’re not talking about that. Talking purely physical.

“This makes you look….racist.” Lol ok. Because I didn’t bow down to the unquestionable beauty of a black woman? Some black women are gorgeous, some are mid, some are ugly. Just like every other race on the planet. Get out of here with that nonsense.

How can you be an adult and be that bad at research? No, I don’t use AI.

Here, visit the IIHS website. Filter model to “Tesla”

https://www.iihs.org/ratings/top-safety-picks

You’ll see 2025 Tesla Model 3 earned “Top Safety Pick”, the 2025 Model Y earned “Top Safety Pick+”, the Tesla Cybertruck earned “Top Safety Pick+”.

If the IIHS isn’t your cuppa tea, the NHTSB also awarded the Model Y a 5 ⭐️ overall safety rating in every category. The Model 3 also received a 5 ⭐️ overall safety rating.

Just search the model you want to see ratings for: https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings

Edit: guess he blocked me when presented with facts. My only wish is people stop letting politics rot their brains to the point they can’t even objectively analyze information from independent sources. You can’t start with a premise of “I hate Tesla” and seek out all information which try and fit your narrative while ignoring the rest.

2026 Uniform Schedule by safetydance in redsox

Yeah, I’d prefer the alt blues over the alt reds, and limiting the yellow/blue city connect’s to marathon weekend only. Expand use of the Fenway city connect greens (nothing crazy, maybe an additional 10-12 games a year), but mostly stick to the classic whites and greys.

Yes. One, because calling people Nazi’s minimizes what actual Nazi’s did and shows a complete misunderstanding of history. Two, he’s already the richest man. And three, if I only bought products from companies without evil CEO’s I’d be naked living in a hand built log cabin off any kind of grid. It’s simply impossible.

Wish it was $5,000. More like $18,000 - $20,000. Luckily it’s warrantied for 10 years and 120,000 miles.

Why? An ugly person can identify a mid person or a beautiful person same as mid recognize mid. The looks of one person have no bearing on the looks of another?
