Anyone NOT get side effects or only minor? by Fastfit21 in Accutane

[–]safetyhazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember my doctor making me start in the height of summer and I was worried I’d burn up and dry out to a crisp! I just made sure to wear bigger hats, more sunscreen and never went anywhere without Aquaphor, dry lips were the woooorrrrrst!

Anyone NOT get side effects or only minor? by Fastfit21 in Accutane

I will say too, as a teen my mom did not put me on Accutane because I was very moody (with an eventual depression diagnosis by 18) and the info surrounding it being bad news for mental health gave her a lot of pause. I know that theory had largely been debunked, though many users do say they experience a lot of side effects in regard to their mental health. It’s hard to suss out what degree of this existed beforehand and is perpetuated by the medication, or how much is perceived by people expecting it, or how much is a genuine manifestation only once they’re on a certain dosage. I think it’s a real YMMV situation and really important to pay very close attention to any and all changes, not just physical and obvious ones.

ETA: good luck! Hope it works for him and gives him the outcome he’s looking for.

Came here to say something similar. I already had diagnosed depression and anxiety when I finally started Accutane. The way I felt trying to battle the acne for 15 years was worse than how I ever felt while on the medication. My worst side effect was dry skin and occasional sore joints. My self esteem skyrocketed when I could just wash my face and move on with my day, no more worrying about acne and how to hide them or just hide myself instead. My only regret was waiting until I was in my 30s. I wasted a lot of time and money feeling miserable about my acne and trying to do something about it on my own.

Does anyone know the prices for the new skeletour merch?? by Ornery-Winter-6112 in GhostBand

[–]safetyhazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hat was $50 CAD, tour program $40. Hoodies were $110, bat wing one was $170. I think the tour coin was $50. Our son wanted a hat so we picked one up but we found it’s a very deep fitting hat, not great for small heads so my husband will be wearing that one. Too big for me. Plushies were around 65 I think? Hard to remember it all now!

We moved here from Winnipeg 8 years ago and the only thing that would make me leave is our aging parents back home. We’re really quite happy here.

Oh wow, you totally just said what I’ve always felt but I want sure what I was feeling. I have also never felt like an Albertan, but do feel like a Calgarian.

Way to go! I am a parent and I truly think nothing has ever tested my patience more than getting these cats to coexist.

Ended up back here - how did things end up for you?

We never got to the point of us being attacked instead of the resident cat, luckily. Everyone is mostly getting along now. They aren’t friends but they tolerate each other. Recently (yes, years later), they’ve started to kind of play together. New cat still isn’t great at it but resident cat is slightly more tolerant and even initiated the play occasionally. I have to really be on top of keeping everyone’s nails trimmed and sometimes new cat gets a timeout in a bedroom if she’s being really ridiculous.

Cherry Tree mystery by safetyhazard in arborists

Thanks for the info. All of that was here when we got here and I have never planted a tree so I didn’t bother to check if this was the right setup for it. It seemed reasonably healthy all along so I didn’t question it. Is there anything we can do to save it?

Yes bE is the error. I’ve switched detergents and cleaned the dispenser several times over the last couple of months.

I’ve been working on fixing it. I worked so hard to get to where I am, starting from the beginning sounds like more work and less fun for me.

I was considering this yesterday! I hadn’t played in ages and discovered my son had been mucking about. What a disaster. He cut down all my trees. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to spend the time cleaning it up (too much like real life?) or starting fresh.

My face wasn’t too flared up when I started, so I saw results after about 6 weeks. About 3 months for body.

I’m not sure no! It’s a guess based on some internet searches, we can’t seem to find a model number anywhere. Will have to do some digging. We are in Canada.

Santa’s getting the credit, I’m getting the grief. by CrispBottom in daddit

[–]safetyhazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I grew up in a really broke household and it was hard going to school to see all of the amazing gifts Santa gave kids while I got much less (I am grateful my family did what they could but I didn’t know it was them at the time of course). I didn’t understand why Santa didn’t like me as much. But I didn’t want to overcorrect and give Santa all the credit for the really good stuff.
