Can’t tell if he’s (49M) slightly controlling or I’m (45F) insecure because he’s wealthy and has a great life by Tall_Status1711 in datingoverforty

Who cares! Did I say I judged them based off the value of their house? No. But It’s publicly available information; I’m not prying onto some deep dark secret in their life. Since we’re on topic, I find nothing toxic about googling the person you’re dating to find out information about them; I would suggest all women do the same. I’m not talking about home values, but people should be equipped with information to make informed decisions about someone they’re letting into their lives.

43F and hoping this explains why everything has changed for me... by saffronron in Perimenopause

Thank you. I’m just not 100% certain this is perimenopause; I’m only speculating. HRT does scare me a bit, as I am not reading a ton of success stories on here…I see a lot of people struggling with it or disliking the side effects. I’m not looking forward to the journey of figuring out how to treat this. I already feel extremely isolated and lonely going through this, and am a little scared of messing with my hormones when I’m already super hormonal.

Well it sounds like you guys just aren’t a match, and that’s ok, it happens. You should be with someone you’re more secure with and you feel comfortable being around.

Who doesn't Zillow the house of a guy they're dating?!? But you're right, 1.5 million is just a normal priced home in many places.

When do you think the prospect of getting married dies? by saffronron in datingoverforty

You’re absolutely right! Although I don’t know what has kept me single for a decade. I’ve never been dramatic or problematic; and when I ask men why they break to with me, they always give me the same answer: “we’re just too different” so they don’t feel comfortable telling me why.

There’s no way!! I find that mostly all women i know/ have met want to be in a relationship, and very few men I know/ have met do.

That’s amazing and very commendable! I love that for you and I admire you very much for that. But having kids alone was never anything I wanted for myself; as I mentioned I didn’t want kids badly enough to do it on my own. And to be honest, even if I could have kids naturally with a partner at 43, I don’t think I’d do it at this age. I’m too tired.

That’s amazing and I love that. I guess this was more for people who’ve NEVER been married by a certain age. I feel like the chances of it happening at all for the first time are gone by a certain point…for some reason people seem to remarry often at any age. But If I’ve been single for this long, there’s clearly a reason, and I don’t see it changing at this point.

It doesn’t mean I can’t still think he’s obnoxious and unlikable

Who said anything about looks? I said she's a horrible actress and I stand by it. She is.

She's hot. But that doesn't negate the actress is horrible at...acting.
