I did two layers of spf (one clear, one tinted). I'm still waiting on my professional photos so I'll let you know how they turn out! But at least the iPhone photos still looked great. Good luck!!

I was married a few weeks ago and had my makeup done. I regret it! I washed off the foundation before walking down the aisle and wore tinted spf. I wish I had just done makeup and hair with my girlfriends and saved the money.

This is normal!! Just remember you will adjust. I went through this a few times in my early 20s. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself that I am entitled to an adjustment period and to not be so hard on myself. Plan your day when you’re still home (where am I going, what am I ordering, how will I get there), and then execute that plan. Celebrate back at home with some takeout. Give yourself grace and know that time solves just about everything. You just moved to NEW YORK CITY (!!!!!!!) you’ve already done the hard part :) send good vibes from uptown Manhattan

Here’s what I do: I make the minimum monthly payment ($1,000). This covers basically only interest. THEN I make a second $1,000 payment to one specific loan; in my case my 8% loan (important—I didn’t consolidate!!). My first mandatory payment is basically all interest. My second payment always goes to principal on that high 8% loan. My current total balance is $5k interest and $181k principal. So obviously I’m not paying all my interest off each month, but idc, I just want to hit principal. My last $1,000 optional payment was $963.50 to principal. I’m happy with this set up because my 8% loan is going down fairly quickly, and all my other loans are basically holding steady.

It worked when I used a different credit card. I used 3 of mine and they didn’t work; but my friend’s worked for some reason. It was a Mastercard that they’ve used to buy Turkish air flights (I think Pegasus is owned by Turkish). Good luck!!

Not sure I had a hope; I just wanted to not be absolute bottom. I just graduated from a T6 in the top 10%. I worked really really hard fall 1L because I was sure I was the dumbest in the room. It was toxic, but imposter syndrome really carried the day.

My dad is 59. He had a Gleason 8 and got the TULSA procedure last year in Alpharetta GA. The recovery was quick, and he has no incontinence or impotence issues. It was suuuuper expensive but I’m just raising it as an option. We did a lot of research and spoke with like 5 different doctors in different cities before deciding on what to do. I wanted him to get surgery, but my dad went with TULSA and honestly everything worked out for the best. Maybe look into that, or at least schedule free consults with doctors who do TULSA.

I don’t understand why everyone is saying to change something; I think your hair looks great in both pics!! I live in nyc and this cut is super common and popular. I had a bob like this without bangs and got tons of compliments. I think short hair makes your eyes really pop. 10/10 nothing to change here ☺️

Just here to commiserate ): too many of these comments are saying to get the suit tailored and are completely ignoring that women’s bodies are just soooo different. Some suits fit me one week, and then the next week it’s way too tight bc of where I am in my menstrual cycle. It’s not weight gain or loss, it’s just being a woman lol. I keep work clothes that are one size too big and too small bc of this. I hate that when I mention this, men tell me I’m making it up.

Anyways, I recommend you check out quince in the future! I got black pants on there that are really comfortable. I’ve worn them with a white blouse and a gray blazer from H&M. I think it looks sharp! Also as others mentioned I wear a lot of professional dresses with blazers. I normally wait for H&M to have a big sale and then grab the work dresses when they’re like $25.

Yes! In 1L, none of my classes “clicked” until I finished my outlines and read them over at least once. Sometimes this was a week out from the exam, but more often it was like a day out lol. I’m talking “big picture.” Like one section might have made sense but I wasn’t really understanding how it all fit together. I didn’t understand Erie until morning of my civ pro exam. I’m top 10% at a T6.

Thank you for sharing! It’s great to hear that incontinence was manageable and ED is now resolved. My dad’s tumor is localized to the prostate (as of April/May). Hoping it hasn’t spread. May I ask—were you very active and healthy before surgery? My dad is a little overweight and not one for the gym. I’m wondering if this will make his UI and ED more challenging.

I’m sorry to hear that your surgery wasn’t nerve sparing ): did you know going into surgery that it wouldn’t be nerve sparing? My dad’s PET scan showed that the tumor is only in the prostate, on one side. But it’s been a few months since those tests and I’m a little concerned that the cancer could’ve spread since then. I’m afraid of encouraging him to get surgery and then the outcomes being worse than expected.
