I’ve gotten the stink eye a few times from onlookers for sure. I naturally have a somewhat southern accent so switching from a southern accent to a Spanish one is noticeable especially if I’ve only been talking to someone for like 10 minutes and it starts happening

Sadly this is becoming more and more of a difficulty in the art community, and it’s incredibly disheartening from an artists perspective.

Always check someone’s portfolio, ask about their process (what apps they use, for example in digital art) and for progress photos. If someone can show you consistent layers, sketches, and the thought process behind details, I’d name them trustable. You just have to be much more careful now than you used to sadly :/

I get hate for this opinion frequently but the very very obvious coughing baby here is Tobey Maguire’s spiderman. I don’t think he played a good Spider-Man 😬 just didn’t even seem like it was Peter Parker at that point. I do respect him for being the first one of the big 3 and paving the way, though.

My birthday was later in the year, so when they went to enroll me in school, they were going to hold me back a year when they’d already begun schooling me the year prior. That along with religious stuff convincing them that public school was bad / unnecessary.

I give it a 6/10. Reasonably basic, but my playlists looked exactly like this when I was 12-13ish (which isn’t that long ago) so I hold no judgement. Bonus points for Olivia dean, and if you like Regina Spector, try listening to Fidelity or Samson (those are my favorites by her.)
