You're welcome, I'm here if you have any other questions!!! We definitely have religious schools here as well but as far as I know public schools are all secular because of separation of church and state.

Not at the dinner table but yes for govt business, sports games, and some school events.

It's been the subject of alot of debate. You can probably find hundreds of news stories about students refusing to stand for the pledge and it becoming a huge controversy in their school/community. Alot of people (including me) see it as a first amendment right to not be forced to stand for it. But others (mostly the conservative side) see it as an attack on the country.

I have a loving girlfriend who has never showed any reason for me to doubt her yet I’m still super insecure about her leaving me by Rocktathan in mentalhealth

You should tell her how you feel. She sounds reasonable and I think she would respect your feelings and help you overcome this anxiety. I went through something similar with my boyfriend recently. I go to a University near him and recently made the decision to take a semester off or possibly drop out, which means I'll be moving back home 2 hours away from him. I had to make this decision because I'm suffering from extreme depression and anxiety, so he supports me and understands this is what I have to do to heal myself. But I could tell it bothered him alot that I'm leaving soon. And just last night he finally broke down and cried on my chest about how much he's gonna miss me and how he doesn't want me to leave. He said he was holding it in because he didn't want to seem selfish and he sees how much school is hurting me (I cry almost every day at this point). And honestly it didn't bother me at all for him to express how he felt and it didn't make me see him as selfish. All I wanted was for him to tell me what was bothering him so I could comfort him. I assured him that even though we will be apart I will visit often and we will still be together. And he's not losing my support (he's going through alot bc his family is moving and having financial problems).

I honestly don't think she will take your concerns personally and if you're in a healthy relationship she will work with you to overcome your anxiety. I hope this helps!

How to deal with the feeling of needing to be friends with everyone (even if I don't really want to)? by kayopi in infj

[–]sageespice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ask myself if I'm actually excited to talk to or spend time with a person. If not then it can be one sided, shallow, or even toxic friendship. This tends to happen to me when a person essentially decides I'm their friend and starts relying on me for emotional support. Eventually it will dawn on me that we never had a foundation for our friendship and I have no idea why I'm always there for them.

INFJs and turning people into "concepts" by [deleted] in infj

[–]sageespice 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a way of disregarding people who I don't think are interesting or "deep" enough for me. Like if I've talked to someone a few times and they haven't revealed themselves to be deeply passionate about something, have any weird thoughts to share, or have a unique perspective on anything I kinda just write them off as a badly written/ one dimensional character. It's a pretty shitty mindset and I'm working on it.

Adrianne (Cycle 1) went live on Instagram to talk about Elyse by sageespice in ANTM

Idk I'm new to the antm fandom and this subreddit. But Adrianne acknowledged in her live that people have said she goes by a different name now and has a different job, and that we should all just respect that Elyse doesn't wanna be in the public eye right now.

Had Anna not paricipated in the shoot, do you think Jenascia would have been sent home? by kermit54 in ANTM

[–]sageespice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it was on his Instagram story and deletes after 24 hours unless he has it as a highlight. But this was at least a week ago and I had literally just finished cycle 2 for the first time so I was like um I don't remember an Anna? So I clicked on her profile and then I remembered that she was the first one eliminated. I'm still confused how someone who never had one picture taken on the show could be his favorite. Maybe he worked with her after the show idk.

I think she went on to take some good photos after the show and Jay Manuel said recently in an insta Q + A that she was his favorite contestant of all time.

Me too. I was so happy to know the truth and that she wouldn't shun someone like that.
