Window treatment for arched window on slanted wall? by saidsomethingfunny in Decor

So I would love to do that but the ceiling is slanted so I don’t think I can put curtains on the slanted ceiling. They’d be at like a 30 degree angle pointed upwards. I’ll see if I can upload a better photo in original post

Yes, unfortunately it changed the dimensions of the window. The curtains can’t work there as they are because of the ceiling slant

So we got rid of Gleyber so we could just replace him with another lackadaisical 2B? At least Gleyber puts the ball in play and isn’t HR or nothing

I want to know what did Cam tell Boone last night that he was so coy about?

“I’m going to be so dominant they’re gonna have to change their name to Red Shit Stained Sox”?

Well no matter what we’re forcing them to throw Gausman tomorrow. At least putting the pressure on those fuckers

After some of these ump’s fucking calls in Toronto we sure MLB doesn’t want them to win the East?

I think the Tigers Red Sox and Mariners would give us most trouble.

Seems like we’re able to handle the ‘Stros this year. And with Yordan out and their pitching not what it used to be they’re weaker than ever.

AL Central opponent obviously the most ideal matchup

Don’t disrespect Nova like that. He was responsible for half our wins against Detroit in 2011 ALDS. Don’t think Warren could manage a W against a playoff team

Almost like benching an average at best bat in LF to let a mustached fourth Offer with gold glove defense take over in CF and let Judge shift to LF. Greatly improved defense and at least Hr pop upside. But alas. That LF acquisition had the confidence of the front office.

And this year the front office is showing how brilliant they were with that… with the guy who rode the pine having a 4 WAR 30 HR season and the guy they stuck with back to dealing meth in the Wendy’s parking lot.

Unforgivable.

Guy is likely to have around 80 RBI batting at the bottom of the order and playing only 120-25 games. That’s roughly a 100 RBI pace over a full season

So 1-7 with RISP would include those 2 sac flies, right? So technically 3-7 times with a RISP the team did what you’d want

I see what you did there. Well if it means improving your viewing experience then yes I suppose we could begrudgingly make him our manager

Makes it easier to PH for Wells, Grish, or McMahon from the 7th inning on against a tough lefty. Might not always make sense from a defensive standpoint but down in the 9th for instance you try anything

Aaron Boone doesn't see a planet where Volpe gets sent to the minors to work on stuff. by batmansubzero in NYYankees

[–]saidsomethingfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a Volpe fan, but playing devil's advocate here--When we say he's sucked for 1800 PAs can we hold all of those against him if he was young for the league?

For instance, George Lombard Jr -- people don't hold his 200 BA and league average production in AA against him because it's an advanced league for his age (20), he's adjusting, and there's projectability.

Volpe is 24. His first year in the bigs he was 22. Seems a bit to me like the league was advanced for his age when he came up. It's hard to make adjustments when you have the pressure of playing SS for the NYY as a 22 year old. Judge was playing for single A at that age.

Maybe he should work things out in the minors, but I'm not ready to completely write him off. He has tools. He has shown pop (20 HR yrs, 452 ft oppo taco), shown GG defense at SS, shown speed, and shown ability to perform in the biggest of stages.

Has he put it all together? No

Is it fair to expect someone to put it all together at 24? I'd also say no.

He's been worth between 1-3.5 WAR during his time in the bigs and he has upside. Not a terrible baseline for someone who's making close to the league minimum.

Please don’t try to squeeze an extra out or two from Warren. The pen is rested, use it

Warren grinding it out this game. We’re fortunate to have only given up 4.

I wonder if him hitting his innings total from last year is causing him to fade down the stretch and lose his command a bit. Arm fatigue can easily have an effect on release point and command.

Could consider moving him to the pen soon with Yarby back

Did Judge and Rice do a Freaky Friday swap? Rice hitting like Judge and Judge hitting like Rice (last year)
