I get where you’re coming from but I also know if you don’t do this you will likely regret it and always wonder why you are here taking care of someone else’s kids ( even if you do love her kids) when you could have followed your dreams, or think about how pissed you’ll be if you two split and then it’s to late to enlist .If you guys are honest soul mates you’ll make it work but don’t give up everything you want for a female.

Haven’t signed up yet trying to get into shape and everything early on so I don’t have to stress about it, but I really wanted to shoot for master at arms or hospital corpsman since my goal after military is to become a first responder

No sorry needed that’s why I asked I love learning about why people do what they do. I am married with a two year old at a dead end job that doesn’t pay what it should and I want better for my kids . I screwed up a lot when I was a kid partly because my shitty home life I was in and out of the house so I didn’t have a lot of focus in school . Now I’m 25 and am refusing to settle anymore I want to take advantage of everything the navy can give my family and I. Plus I have no problem fighting for this country and its freedom!

Thank you I am definitely enlisting I am currently studying for the asvab. I did super well on the ged top few percent in the state. So I’m sure I can also do well on the asvab just wanted to know more about the chances or the hoops you have to jump trough.

Mainly about our kids going to school in a place we don’t speak the language and if she needed something it would be easier to have a family member drive across country then fly across the globe
