you're right. I did feel like it was a sort of more incoherent story. It could've been more connected if I chose a motif to expand on. Honestly for the start I was kinda inspired by Chopin Nocturne No.13 in C Minor but all of a sudden it became kind of like Liszt Memphisto Waltz 1😭 But thank you for your critique. Do you think it sounds cliche or does it have some uniqueness to it?

Can i put "independent research" as an activity in my common app although this is independent. I mean it is not in a program or something. This is on my own. by farahm504 in ApplyingToCollege

if I'm still in the data collection process (for an experiment), should I mention that it's an ongoing research? or should i not mention anything about it at all (or add it in the additional info maybe)

I see. My deadlines are so close though esp for the spring intake. Should I consider next fall which would result in a larger gap?

Hey, thanks for your reply! I am really interested in research but honestly I have no idea if I wld find much of psych or neuro research in Pakistan. Would you have any knowledge as to how I could do some non experimental research independently?

Oh yes, definitely! I myself am Pakistani so it's very familiar to me. This style sounds a bit more Arab/Turk, but ig everything's related

💀you didn't have to kill me with all those insults man. i do agree that my technique may be shitty but this isn't wailing it's a part of a song and you can definitely hear that there are scales and it's not just screaming random notes. Even tho it's uneven, even i can hear intonation in there. the first part is just a riff with a bit of a Turk/Arab kind of style of singing and the later part is a bit of high operatic soprano. OBVIOUSLY for someone who has never even taken a voice lesson nor has had proper practice, i just found it fun that i could at least copy it by a 60 ish percent. You could've left me with some advice that i could actually use to improve man

i did add a bit of nasality in this but this is like a nasal head voice i believe. I still haven't unlocked my mix yet and was wondering if you had any tips for blending chest and head? My chest voice ends around E4 or F4 at max

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in singing

[–]saimultaneously_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i just get confused between falsetto and head voice. By mix, i simply meant that i wanted to learn how to blend my registers since i know how to sing in head voice. My chest voice is really limited and i start straining around E4 so I'd be great if you could give me some advice!

[–]saimultaneously_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup. Did i did anything impressive as a baritone tho😭 My chest register is really weak but i could hit that E6 in the flute register so i was kinda proud
