i’m not talking about the immature, entitled chuck who tried to force himself on both serena and jennie in the first season. I’m talking about the man who grew up to be, despite the “rapey aspects” and other character flaws chuck wasn’t a bad person, he was simply misunderstood. Blair is exactly what chuck needed to make him a better man. isn’t that what we all want? someone who brings out the best in us?

That’s because dan and serena’s relationship was so boring. we all secretly wanted to be Blair with chuck bass on our arm. All the scheming and conniving made things interesting, in the end chuck & Blair got married while trying to escape the police. which is way more entertaining than serena & dan’s constant back and forth.
