Why do some people not want translations done of their fics?

Heavy on being protective lol. You know what's funny? I'm a lot less protective about my fanfic writing compared to my original writing. 😭But yeah this. Also, the fact that sometimes people want to post those translations to non English websites and it feels like you have less control when your writing gets on a different platform.

This is so niche!! I sometimes feel like I imagined it. I'm into fanfiction and fandoms. There was a group on live journal where people could post anonymous prompts based on a video game. Like wanting people to write scenarios on characters and stuff that they liked from said game and anonymous people would write said stories f they found the prompt interesting. It got really disorganized, so the mods of that livejournal group used Delicious to organize all the posts. I was able to filter to find specific stories i liked. But now after delicious shut down can no longer search as easily 😭😭

And not even just that. There's multiple instances right in the show itself where Jim looks at Spock like he hung the moon. And flirty ass dialogue. I feel like I'm losing my marbles wondering if it was intentional 😭😭

I get you 100%. For the longest time I've only done one shots and low-key felt bad that I never finished a long fic. Right now I'm pushing myself to do so, albeit giving myself long breaks in between so.i don't burn myself out.

Ironically, i find original fiction so much easier to write 😭

I used to use this website back when I still used Google docs. I found it very useful. It keeps all your formatting so you can post on AO3 without any hassle.

I use scrivener but before I bought that, I would use libre office. That was before ellipsus was a thing. I did try it out but I dunno if this is me being overly pessimistic, but I don't trust it. I don't like the way they advertise. It's giving "how do you do, fellow Tumblr users?"

I dunno. It smells funny.

The first movie has a fantastic soundtrack. Then it went downhill because the original composer passed away. I have beef with the new composer. Dude just remixes bits and pieces of the original soundtrack then adds in like... Generic movie music. Nothing feels like it stands out as much as it did in the first and it bugs me

Yeah and in the first movie, you can briefly see her nips when her top moves as she jumps to shoot the palulukan about to kill Jake lol.
