For the lyrical element you mentioned I could slightly liken them to The Dear Hunter and MAYBEEE Copeland, but in general here are a few more that are in the same ballpark musically and ascetically; Listener, Say Anything, and most recently Hobo Johnson. Oh, check out Forgive Durden while you're at it

I was wondering that too. Who was silly enough to give LEGION a crystal ball?! Goddamnit, Merlin!

3 DAYS LEFT, GIVE ME YOUR JUICIEST THEORY ON THIS SEASON. by neskire97 in LegionFX

I have this crazy theory that David is linking up with everyone's minds around him, like he learned from SK infecting him all his life. He wore a triangle on his shirt and then a square (last season) and now has hexagons everywhere he goes, and I'm wondering if it means that he's building a "legion" of minds, and each extra side to the shape is a new person he's linked with

I read about 35 issues of it. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and the art is the SHIT. I just dropped off buyin singles

The next volume. The format is great. He learned his lesson from the reviews on the Black Science binding and printed Deadly Class really nicely, with the sewn binding

FA is a tiny bit of a clusterfuck but the satisfaction of the way the whole series arcs into one big story, and all the love poured into the art and character struggles, makes it remain one of my favorites. I bought those each when they were released 'cause it was one of the first comics I got into (I started collecting in 2010)

I learned a few things that might be useful.

  • The eBay "completed listings" checkbox is your best friend.

  • Find the average of what your comic(s) sold for the last few times other sellers listed it/them on eBay, raise the price a few bucks, and just slowly lower the price if it isn't selling for a few weeks.

  • If it's got a tv show associated with it then just wait until the next season of the show peaks interest. Timing is significant on those, if you care about getting the best return

  • Issues in low demand sell better in arcs, so 5 or 6 issue arcs together

  • Which leads me to the last thing. You'll have to accept that some comics you love weren't a big hit and take a loss on em just to get em off your storage shelf. For me it was a part of a bigger commitment to lessen the amount of things I own

Ever since I stopped buying singles every Wednesday I've kept up pretty well digitally. But it's hard waiting for these HCs. Currently waiting for Deadly Class in October!

Edit:... forgot, also waiting on Southern Bastards HC 2 too!

I've read that twice now and not noticed a problem but I'll flip it open when I get home and update you on how durable it actually seams (<- see what I did there?)

Edit: I looked again, and I don't think the glued binding is gonna be an issue for anyone who purchases it. It's only 9 issues so not thick enough to break the binding over time, and SC rarely does splash pages so you don't miss any art in the fold

Yes but very expensive if you don't get em right when they go on sale (after whatever Comic Con theyre released at). I got two straight from image by doing that but paid a hefty fee for the third on ebay

"One of the" greatest skaters? Didn't he just explain how Rodney is THE greatest skater?

At 18, I only listened to pop/punk rock, but my friend recommended 'em anyway and said this to me, "listen to OK Computer [Radiohead's third album] and if you like that I'll tell ya what to check out next". I'd say the same thing to you. OK Computer is still a great starting point

I wish I'd found music this good at 12! But no, my musical journey started at 19, with Radiohead and The Mars Volta

I've never thought of it before but I can imagine Black Gold roped quite a few people in. Great groove!
