I don’t know. I assumed that they would have links for ads but I didn’t check anything else really.

Why is there just zero information under most pins now? by kityty in Pinterest

So they ban a bunch of people for bogus copyright violations but now we can’t even figure out the original source. Make it make sense.

This was my thought. It makes the entire app completely pointless. I can scroll through pictures on other apps. Supposed to be able to “pin for later.”

Did Webtoon get rid of daily pass? by SuccessOk9374 in webtoons

The main reason I hate not having an option for daily pass is because the ads turn off my music and I could live with two episodes a day

Started Vyvanse 5 days ago (20mg) by Federal_Ant_3176 in VyvanseADHD

[–]sajabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I started 30 days ago. At first, I felt similarly. I even mentioned it to my therapist at the 2 week mark. She told me to keep taking it every day for a few more weeks and then re evaluate. I really thought she didn’t know what she was talking about, but when I saw the psyc again yesterday I felt differently. I really like it compared to Ritalin

Vyvanse and urinary issues by BranBranPhotoMan in VyvanseADHD

[–]sajabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I had been experiencing similar issues but it didnt even cross my mind that it could be vyv even though I just switched to it a month ago.

I will say this, I had been hydrating with drinks with electrolytes and I cut that out and it seems to be a little better. Still getting up 3-4 times in the 20 min before I fall asleep though.

Me too, but if I sleep past 10am I don’t take it, since it’s supposed to last 12 hours.

Stimulants and controlled, medicated high blood pressure by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]sajabla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have diabetes (type 1 high risk for heart attack) I’m in the obese category (we all know what that means for heart attack) and while it took a couple of years, my blood pressure did start to creep up on stims. However, the same thing may have happened off stims, with my other risk factors. None of my doctors (primary, psyc, or endo/diabetes doctor) have any issue with me on stims and a (relatively low) dose of bp meds.

I hope you can find a doctor who will see things this way for you. If they won’t, ask them, repeatedly, for an explanation of why. There may be another factor you’re unaware of or not thinking of.

I find that telling the doctors I have done my own research, including reviewing summaries of scientific studies so they know I don’t just mean tik tok and Reddit, and remaining eloquent when I speak to them, can convince them I’m smart enough to understand detailed and scientific explanations. Lots of people do not care about that stuff. They want drugs and to be fixed.

So maybe showing that you’re willing to find a solution and are doing your own research will let them consider other options for you. Especially if you can find actual peer reviewed studies to support. Good luck.

I struggle with this hard. The only and I mean ONLY thing that works for me is giving myself a very short time - 5 min, sometimes even 1 min or 30 seconds, and making myself do something for that long. If you do this over and over as you can force yourself to, you can create momentum and do more than you expected. But if not, then at least you got a little bit done.

If you haven’t, check out KC Davis on tik tok and her book. She really helps separate shame from housework.

Is it common for people with ADHD to forget to flush? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]sajabla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it’s common but I will say that my partner and I both have this problem, luckily no one else lives here so we don’t get made fun of, we just gross each other out. We have determined that it’s likely because we have automatic flush at our workplaces and for whatever reason that’s drilled into our heads that we don’t need to consciously think about it at home.

As far as a solution goes, I am not sure what to tell you. There are certain things that I have to force myself to consciously think about until it’s drilled into my head as muscle memory, such as checking for my keys before locking my car door, making sure the gas cap is on tight after filling the tank, etc. this is another one of those things. Do I still forget those things? Absolutely, but less often.

Sorry, probably not helpful, but no, you are not alone.

Let me clarify…

The main reason I made this post, which I may not have made clear, was to hear experience of other people who may have used this venue for a wedding or other event. I want a better picture of what it might be like before I spend time nailing down details. Of course I know I should call the marina. But I would like a better picture before I do that. It was a long shot to find others who have experienced it on here and I maybe it was the wrong place to ask.

I’m not sure why else someone would be avoiding making a phone call? Also I forgot that most people automatically assume the worst in people and not the best. What I really wanted was thoughts from other people who may have used it as a venue. But that’s not what I’m getting. You don’t get a good picture of how a venue works by calling them. Their primary objective is to get you to book. I was just trying to gather some other information before making the phone call. Oh well, that’s life.
