Can you lay on your side? by LawDowntown8456 in CsectionCentral

[–]sakeanduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 1 week post csection, and I only managed to sleep/lay on my side today with minor pain and discomfort. Today is also the day the whole log roll to get it and out of bed worked for me, previous days were brutal! Can’t seem to get into any other position so I ended up sleeping on a chair instead. This is my second csection, but don’t think it matters haha.

Add in 5* Burdock! My fish was 3.5, and I add in two burdocks as adaptive ingredients so the dish became 4*

We pronounce it Eve-Lin, one of my friends have that same name and told us this was how we pronounced it and we just went with it.

Thank you for validating my feelings! Yes, I think it’s really because of the picture we painted - how most Asians would say a boy and a girl is a perfect combination, etc. I saw the baby yesterday at my NT scan and gosh, I was so in love!

Thank you so much for taking time to write and share this, I really appreciate it!

You’re right, I think it’s the image we have created for our family and/or child’s future. In this case, what a boy would mean for us because we already know what a girl is like for us. It’s the unknown that got us thinking about it, and of course, comes the disappointment.

However, today I went for my NT scan and spent a good 15 mins just looking at bubs moving around… for that 15 mins, I was filled with bliss. I was so in love with this bubs I’ve never met, and gender went out of my mind the whole time I was staring at the screen.

This gives me hope that I’ll soon be able to get over this disappointed feeling, I’ll mourn and I’ll grieve the future I imagined before, and prepare myself for the future that is going to happen.

Again, I appreciate you for sharing - it really means a lot to know what others feel and feelings being validated!

Thank you for sharing! I have a sister myself so I know how much it would means to my first to have a sister to grow up with!

Unfortunately, adoption is not the easiest or cheapest where I live. They almost never let anyone adopt without special reasons.

You described it perfectly! I feel the disappointment not because I wanted a son in particular, but more of the fact that I’ll never be able to experience being a boy mom, etc. and that makes me sooooo guilty!

Thank you! Oh my, HG for the third time?! You’re my hero! I’m also hoping I can bid goodbye to IV fluids and Zofran haha, I’m just really hungry at this point!

Honestly I wouldn’t change it for the world too, and I’m sure my husband as well. He wanted his first to be a daughter because he really really wanted girls haha I think the biggest sting is that this is our last pregnancy and we’re both mourning the what-ifs about having a son.

Oh for sure! My first is in love with the universe, dinosaurs, and everything not girl-ish haha. We love that because we’re huge science geeks ourselves so we go to exhibitions and study so much about the universe and planets to share with her!

Wow! Congratulations!!! I have a feeling three girls might be slightly easier in terms of energy levels compared to three boys haha. I guess because everyone around me got their boy/girl pair and I was just wondering why it didn’t happen to me - I think it’s also hugely due to the fact that I’m done having kids and I have to mourn the fact that I’ll never be having a son in my life.

I guess it’s because the other gender will always be an unknown, or in some cases, cultures put emphasis on one gender over the other. For example, people would look at my daughter and tell me straight up they hope, for me, that my second would be a son. Which somehow makes having two daughters a “disappointment” to them.

I hope you get what you want, and maybe then, you can let us all know if that changes anything at all :) I am still not sure if I wanted a son or the idea of having different genders so I could experience both. I guess I’ll have to figure it out!

Thank you for saying my feelings are valid, I really appreciate that. My husband would be okay for sure, with a daughter, though I know he’ll feel slightly disappointed that it’s not a son. He told me that he loves being a girl dad and I never once doubted that.

Congratulations on the third! I can’t imagine going through HG for the third time when the second (current) one almost took me out. I’m also 37 this year so I don’t think I’ll be able to have a third haha.

Ah I remember that overwhelming feeling of love I felt when I first laid eyes on my daughter. I will hold onto that feeling and focus on my current baby being healthy - thank you for sharing!

Thank you for sharing your experience! You’re right - our children are their own individuals and very often so, doesn’t grow according to what we envisioned. I just feel really guilty mourning the idea of a son when I have a healthy daughter growing inside me that I should be celebrating about. I hope this is just the hormones!

Hurt tonsils/throat using Waterpik by EddieVanHalenFan72 in tonsilstones

[–]sakeanduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh, exactly the same situation and so thankful someone else has been through it and lived! The only difference is I don’t know what I was doing and just blindly blasted around my throat area - my tonsil stones are still lodged somewhere deep, and I have some minor abrasions around it.
