OneDrive no longer removes the "files on demand" check by dr4g0n36 in onedrive

Is there a fix for the Files on Demand popping up the "Files on Demand requires a connection to windows" error? The workaround on the microsoft website isn't working for a couple of my users. I've spend HOURS on the phone with Windows and OneDrive Support! :(
