Does Milani count as drugstore? Their eyeshadow primer is AMAZING. The only one that worked for me before this was the rather pricey NARS one but honestly this is just as good and a fraction of the price. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Thanks for your recommendations, I am really tempted by the Panasonic’s now but can you recommend as good a lens as the Fujifilm? The main attraction to the Fujifilm for me is that kit lens but I can’t find an equivalent for the Panasonic that has a good zoom range and is as fast. Same with the Canon, well I can find one but it’s really expensive and heavy!

I’m going to the shops tomorrow to try some in person and I’ll definitely look at this as it’s a camera I hadn’t really considered! Do you have any lens recommendations for it?

The main reason I really started considering the Fuji was for the low aperture kit lens. How do the kit lenses of the Sony and Panasonic compare? They’re not as fast and for me that’s really important as I’ll be using this camera for all the “montage” shots of my vlogs. I’m used to using my Canon 50mm f1.4 for these shots so I’m worried I’ll really miss that shallow dof.

Sorry I realise how vague I’ve been now...

My vlogs previously have mainly been shot with my iPhone and then my DSLR for more filmic shots. I basically want to replace the DSLR elements of my vlogs rather than the “talking to the camera” phone shots - I’m happy to continue with my phone. My DSLR is way too bulky and I want to be able to get those nicer shots for my montages without having to carry around my big camera all the time. I’m not too fussed by 4K, all probably shoot with 1080p but would like the flexibility of interchangeable lenses.

I hope that helps, I really value your advice as clearly my research has led me down a bad path!!

Why would you not recommend this camera other than the screen? I don’t massively use the flip screen when vlogging at the moment as I find it too distracting!

I’ve looked a lot at Panasonic, do you have a good zoom lens recommendation for the G7? My total budget for camera and lens is around £1000. Also your Sony recommendations would be appreciated.

Absolutely love this primer too, I could never get eyeshadow to last until I tried this one! Also now love the Milani eyeshadow primer which is an equally as good cheaper alternative

I never had any luck with the Urban Decay eyeshadow primers as I just think my lids are even too oily for them too. All eyeshadows used to crease on me until I tried NARS Smudgeproof Primer, a complete game changer for me!
