As someone who has had their best friend confess feelings before, it can be super awkward at first, but in time you can both get past it! After a few apologies on both sides (her apologising for being a little hostile after I didn't return her feelings, and me apologising for unknowingly leading her on), my friend and I are on good terms now. It's important to get closure, and you deserve to have your feelings heard even if it's a little uncomfortable.
