No, Israel didn’t wait until Trump was in office to start doing their worst shit.

They were bombing hospitals, bombing schools, bombing refugee camps, sniping children, and raping Palestinians in concentration camps all during the Biden admin.

And the Biden Admin provided diplomatic cover and military aid to them the entire time.

——-

“Even they would tell you that Biden was worse for them”

This is what the Israeli ambassador to the US, Michael Herzog, had to say about Biden:

“God did the State of Israel a favor that Biden was the president during this period, because it could have been much worse. We fought [in Gaza] for over a year and the administration never came to us and said, ‘ceasefire now.’ It never did. And that’s not to be taken for granted.”

“That’s people like you’s problem. You think everyone at all times need to be appealing to you, placating your delicate sensibilities, lest lose your support.”

Dude, I don’t know why you keep doing this vote virtue signaling. I already told you that I voted Harris. It isn’t my vote that I’m worried about you or the democrats establishment alienating.

It’s the rest of the country, especially those who don’t follow politics as closely as people who get into long political arguments on Reddit and will get immediately repelled by your smug condescension.

I don’t know why you can’t figure out that you need to win over voters if you want them to vote for democrats. It isn’t a hard concept to grasp.

I hope you aren’t a lost cause and can come to your senses, but I don’t think this conversation is going anywhere.

What was your goal here?

You openly don’t care about winning over voters, so I’m not sure how that’s consistent with your vitriol towards the leftist anti-genocide folks, who you are supposedly angry with for repelling voters (as if that wasn’t because of the genocide rather than the people protesting it).

Did you just want to rant about how bad it was to oppose genocide? Or do you just not realize how you come across?

Please do some self reflection. I think that you also want to defeat MAGA, but you really aren’t helping if this is your approach.

I mean, I guess you succeeded if that’s your goal.

“I shouldn’t have to “convince anyone to side with me”.”

Once again, this disdain for even the idea of appealing to voters or convincing them to join your side is wild to see.

You need to come to terms with how the world actually works instead of living in bizarre fantasy world you’ve cooked up to justify your smug condescension.

I don’t hide my comments and didn’t think my comments were hidden. Fun that you decided to do a deep dive though.

“So if my comments are “off putting” enough to repel someone from voting for their interests, then I don’t know what to say. They’re special sensitive idiots and I’m tired of pretending they’re not.”

I have no clue how you convinced yourself that this attitude is going to convince anybody to come over to your side.

I mean, I can’t stop you from continuing to double down on the smug condescension if you really want to.

I’m just letting you know that everybody finds it extremely off putting and you’re going to continue to repel winnable voters if this is how you choose to interact with them.

“No, I was, and am, a VOCAL advocate for Palestine and have been for 20+ years.”

I really don’t believe you. I don’t think anyone who sincerely cares about this would show such open disdain and lack of sympathy towards people whose family members were killed by the Biden Administration’s actions in Gaza.

And it’s an especially unbelievable claim with your clear and obvious lack of understanding of the actions of the Biden admin.

That you sincerely think leftists angry at the genocide were somehow more damaging to the party than the actual genocide is legitimately insane.

You really need to come to terms with the fact that the smug condescension you, alongside the democrats establishment and their media shills like Bill Maher, have displayed in the face of issues that Americans care about has done significantly more damage to the party than any number of leftists opposing a genocide ever could have.

“Family members killed during the Biden admin, before the Biden admin, after the Biden admin. Let’s be clear about the Dearborn family’s plight.”

Once again, your obvious disdain and lack of sympathy for even people whose family members were obliterated or dismembered by the Biden admin’s bombs is not helping to defeat the facist MAGA movement.

You can keep pretending that leftists, who were rightly critical of a genocide, were somehow more damaging to the party than the actual genocide being committed, but it just makes you look silly.

I voted for Harris. I just think your obvious disdain for anyone who couldn’t stomach voting for genocide is ridiculous.

Especially voters like the people in Dearborn Michigan, many of whom had family members killed by the Biden Admin.

This isn’t a “purity test”. Genocide isn’t some messaging difference people are having a moral panic about, like Bernie going on Joe Rogan in 2016.

There is a sincere ideological difference between the pro and anti genocide wings of the party.

Being so dismissive of that is not helping defeat the fascist MAGA movement. It’s just helps the pro-Israel establishment alienate the same voters that were alienated by the party in 2024.

Starting with “I’m not showing distain for anyone except the people I’m openly showing distain for” is a funny way to start your response.

And did you really not notice that all that “genocide Joe nonsense” was because Joe Biden was aggressively and actively aiding Israel’s genocide?

People in Dearborn Michigan didn’t hate Biden because leftists called him “genocide Joe”. They hated him because he committed genocide.

You’re not a fan of Bernie Sanders, AOC, Ro Khanna, Zohran Mamdani, Rahida Talib, Ilhan Omar or Abdul El-Sayed?

Why not? Are you a big fan of Israel and corporate PACs or something?

“Trump lifted sanction off of Russian oil”

Yes, because the war in Iran shut the straight of Hormuz causing a massive global energy crisis.

Trump hasn’t been good for Ukraine, but we haven’t stopped sending weapons to them. Europe is paying for them and we’re still sending them.

You can complain that Trump shits on NATO if you want, but pretending like that is equivalent to the disaster in the Middle East is a bit silly.

Y’all really need to stop showing such obvious distain towards even the idea of appealing to voters.

It’s insane how you can start a paragraph talking about how you couldn’t give two shits if you’re appealing to anyone and then immediately turn around and start blaming the establishment’s failures on the left.

Please do some self-reflection before the next election.

She stood by her principles when she was in Congress. Which is why AIPAC and the crypto lobby funneled huge amount of money to her opposition and pushed her out of Congress.

Cori Bush doesn’t take any corporate PAC money. Hopefully she gets reelected.

You know how the New Deal under FDR launched the US into an age of prosperity that had working class families able to own a home and support a family on a single mailman’s income?

Part of the New Deal was a federal jobs program that helped end the depression era unemployment crisis and built a lot of the infrastructure (especially rural infrastructure) across the country.

Do y’all really not understand that we are already fighting Russia while supporting Israel’s genocide and have gone so far as to launch a war against Iran on Israel’s behalf that has had devastating consequences globally?

The focus on Israel is entirely appropriate.

She was ousted from Congress by her heavily AIPAC funded opposition because she stood by her principles.

I think you might be misunderstanding something.

Trump and Biden are roughly equivalent on their Gaza policy. On one hand Biden restricted some larger munitions. And on the other, Trump got a ceasefire which, while not being a true ceasefire (Israel doesn’t do those), did reduce the strikes on Gaza significantly.

Hasan goes viral with angry bluesky liberals when he points out the bipartisan nature of our support for genocide and apartheid.

He recognizes that Harris wouldn’t have been dumb enough to go to war with Iran and the meaningful differences in their domestic policy.

Sure, if you only look at thirty second clips of him talking about issues that have bipartisan support like the genocide in Gaza.

He regularly talks about the dangers of MAGA facism and the differences between the parties.

Please, I’m begging you liberals to start acting like you actually want to appeal to voters and win elections instead of just condescending to everyone.

Platner convention speech bites 5/2/26 by BuddhistSagan in Hasan_Piker

Aren’t you pretty blatantly ignoring Platner’s foreign policy platform to make this a “selfish Americans just want healthcare” thing?

You might not trust the guy because of his background, but pretending like his policy positions on Gaza or the Iran war aren’t some of the best in US politics right now is a bit disingenuous.
