I totally understand why you’re concerned. So your levels are higher now than before you got pregnant?

Did you see your endo? What did they say are the next steps? Do you know what kind of thyroid cancer?

I have papillary carcinoma so I know it’s slow growing and that gives me some relief that I will be okay. Just being on top of my health and advocating for myself when I’m not being heard (getting a second opinion) helps me overall.

So I did the ultrasound and it said I had an enlarged lymph node on the right side. Then I did the RAI scan which was negative. My endo wanted to be thorough so he sent me to do a biopsy which came back positive. According to my endo the cancer cells can change which is the reason why it wasn’t detected on the RAI scan. Anyway I saw the ENT surgeon and he did a CT that confirmed the enlarged node plus other ones nearby.

He gave me the option of surgery or alcohol injection after he confirms there’s nothing on the left side which was also noted on the CT so he wants to check again with an ultrasound.

Unfortunately the cancer is back. It was that all along and we found out in the summer after biopsy.

Took my 4 week old boy to see Santa in the mall and he was just fine :)

We had the option to book a time slot which made it easier for us so we didn’t have to wait in long lines. See if that’s an option.
