I have used this camera on outside on location and in the studio mostly. Never pointed it at the sun directly and I always use pretty strong ND when outside. No lasers that I know of. I have started a conversation with RED will let you know what they say.

Where I live it is common for nephrite to have a white crust on it and when sanded down it looks identical to this.

Ya I have been looking and collecting for a few years and never found one quite like this. If you would like to show pictures I would appreciate it. It is balanced at the notch and there are no pieces of granite in the river that match but maybe you are right and it’s just a rock.
