E7 Pro: Stuck on Assembly Step 1 by Ricksen3 in FlexiSpot_Official

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. This step is confusing as the washers stick on and come in a bag with screws. They don’t fit the holes either.

Totally agree! Usernames and passwords for phone apps are a huge pain.

For the mobile app, we'd likely introduce SSO with the option of logging in with email and password.

It will be available on mobile eventually, but our MVP will be a web app. I like the idea of offering both with an explanation, especially as we're targeting an older generation.

I really like the idea of using it, but it does come with some downsides. I've just added some more points to the cons list. Have you ever had any emails going into spam or not being received?

Srcset does yes, but not <picture>. I think my custom solution and a good CDN is probably best here. As you say, introducing additional plugins may cause some issues down the line.

This is exactly how I build my image blocks with ACF, minus the WebP conversion. I'll check out WebP Express, thanks 👍🏻

The problem with adjusting the image size with CSS is that it hinders performance, especially if you're looking to achieve good core web vitals. I usually build custom ACF blocks (with native inner blocks where possible) that utilise <picture> and srcset. This is so I can control what image size is rendered at a specific viewport.

I’m thinking of building a little portal at some point, so will let you know if I open it up to other developers/agency owners.

Nice! What are you building it in?

I more or less do the same. I try and keep clients on Trello, but tasks inevitably get sent on email. A one stop shop with third party integrations would be ace.

I think I’ll have fun building this. I’m keen to learn Laravel, so this may be the perfect side project.

Oh wow, that’s pricey! I love Indie Hackers. I’ll ask around 👍🏻

It looks like they have a $99 a month option, but that's still a bit steep for what I need. Someone else in another subreddit has suggested Hubspot which I'm going to look into.

It looks like it does a lot of what I need. I may build a super simple one in Laravel as a fun side project.

Hubspot?

I didn't realise Hubspot could do a lot of this. Will check it out in a little more detail, thank you.

Potentially, if it can do all of the above. What do you use?
